Thanks to everyone for really great experience and for surviving the winter with me. We all learned a lot over the last nine months! Now its time to take on the summer. See you again in the fall!

On another note, last night I brought up the idea of having a BBQ at my house. Everyone seemed to be into it; so, we will try to nail down a date in the next couple of weeks. Right now the weekend of the 15th seems like the best. Please post a comment for your preference. See you on Sunday! Bring your Moms!
Greetings good people! We are now almost completely through Yoga Chakitsa with only one asana left - Setu Bandhasana. It is an intense asana that requires a lot of control through the core....we'll make it there. In the mean time we will continue to go through the full practice (minus SB) on Sundays and Wednesdays. Please come for an attitude adjustment! :-)
Hello fellow yogis. Ahimsa Shala continues to amble along nicely. Last week we delved into supta kurmasana and garbha pindasana - two very juicy asanas. Tomorrow we'll go a little further with baddha konasana. BK is great for releasing tension in the hips, which can translate to a more open lower back.
We are fortunate to be in a space that wants to see this class take off, but at some point I imagine we'll be charged the full rental amount. When that happens I'll have to bump the class fee to $60/8 classes.
With Spring comes change - there is a new pricing structure. Its pretty simple in that I've done away with the 4 class card. Practitioners can now opt in for 8 consecutive classes for $50 or drop in for $10.
There's a movie out called Ashtanga NY. Its pretty well done. There are some nice shots of what a giant room with tons of yogis looks like. You also get to see some celebrity folks talking about how this practice is available to everyone. I think Gweneth Paltrow is very candid - it seems like they caught her right after practice.
My how time "Marches" on... Hey, my caffeine hasn't kicked in yet. At any rate, the studio has been steady and warm. I'm so honored that folks are coming to see what's going on and sticking around for the most part.
Last Sunday's class was a blast, which was almost two hours long! Bhujapidasana has proven to be a challenge, but each time we do it more of you are starting to discover its subtleties. Truly, the key to this asana is a strong lift in Mulabandha and the proper transfer of weight from the feet to the hands. Once this posture makes since other things will start to fall in place like jumping through your vinyasas.
Things are really coming along with everyone's practice! I really, really, appreciate all of you who have been dedicated to creating this community, which is getting larger and sweeter all the time.
Hey yall, the new logo is in!
Mahalo to Evan, Samantha, and Natalie for coming to class last Wednesday! We had a nice session, as usual - it was great to be received by you three on my return.
