The Missing Link Bicycle Shop

I’ve held such envy for M Marie Blomberg over the years and how she’s always finding cash on the road. .

Anyway, I showed up to her steps course last night and I found this 125 year old dollar coin evidently worth $29.

Serious Big Dollar Energy.

I did my first ride to work today on the new spine. I gave myself permission to walk the steep part at the top of the big hill but upon arrival I said to myself “THIS IS THE FIGHT!” and in that moment I chose violence.

Changes in the vertebrae in my neck have caused a narrowing of my spinal canal to the point where my spinal chord has been abraded. Surgery is set for March 1st which can’t come soon enough. The overall feeling of this is a lot like what I imagine having a stroke would feel like-difficulty doing anything with my hands, trouble walking, balance issues, dropping things, difficult getting myself up from a seated position.

I’m determined to get over this but I need help getting through the next couple months to keep myself and the shop afloat.

Here’s a long distance dedication to the old Sandy store neighborhood from Big John and the boss. John doesn’t come to work anymore but gosh I miss the Sandy store days when I had my two Pitbull buddies and we would drive to work in the Vanagon. And later when I would ride in with Big in the Burly trailer. My heart wrench belongs to the nuts of Roseway.
