KingPins Portland Youth League

The Saturday Bowl and Play summer league is starting. Come join the fun! League starts at 10am on Saturdays. Cost is $10 per week and each youth receives a $5 play credit each paid week in addition to the 3 games of league bowling.

Hi everyone just trying to get the word out that there is no bowling tomorrow 7/31.

Because we are now able to open on a limited basis, we're looking at some different options for our Youth League. With Thanksgiving already around the corner and Saturdays being the day after Christmas and New Years, we probably won't start Saturday leagues until after the first of the year so we're not stopping and starting all the time. However, we will be running some youth coaching sessions from 4 to 5:30pm on Mondays starting November 9th. Cost will be the same $9 as the regular Saturday league fee. This will not be a formal league, but rather an opportunity to get back into the swing of things without worrying about averages or standings. Coaching will be provided. This Saturday, October 10th, there will be a rally at KingPins Portland to support the opening of the Portland area centers. The rally will be from 10 to 11am. We're all wanting to get back bowling and this is a way to help get us back moving in that direction. If you can attend wear your KingPins Youth League shirt, maybe bring some signs to show your support. It is quite possible there will be local media at the event to cover the rally so bring your enthusiasm! The weather forecast shows that there could possibly be rain Saturday morning so be prepared.

With recent surge in outbreaks, Multnomah County has delayed entering Phase 2. Because no timetable has been established for entering Phase 2 at this point, we have decided to not try to run the short session summer league. We hope to return in the fall with our regular youth program and will keep you posted hear as that develops.

If things go well, we are going to try and run a short summer session. Plans are to start on July 18th. We will start at 10am instead of the 9am start we had in the fall/winter season. We would like to let everyone know that due to the new things the governor of our state has decided. Kingpins is closing starting tomorrow March 17th until April 14th. The youth league will start back up on the 18th and will be a free welcome back day. We will discuss then on how we want to do the rest of the season. The coaches will miss all of you and hope you guys all stay healthy and safe during this time.

Some of our juniors went to tournament today and all did really well.

We had our Halloween party today. More pictures to come. Peewee winners: black Spiderman and Ghostbusters twin girls. Juniors: 1st- Dorothy 2nd- T-Rex 3rd- red power ranger.

Fall league has started. We had an amazing 21 bowlers last Saturday. Let's keep growing the league.
