The weather was definitely unfavorable yesterday but that didn’t stop us! Slopestyle 2/1/20

First team practice of the season last night!

Congratulations to our very own Andrew Hepworth!! He was runner up for the Shredwell Scholarship through OISA Snowboarding! Andrew wins $1000 Scholarship to the college of his choice. He will be attending OSU Cascades this fall!

Went “home” (Mt Hood Meadows) today for our end of season party. Mother Nature gave us some seriously gnarly (COLD!) weather to deal with but still had a good time. Congrats to all the riders who earned their varsity letters: Ian, Andrew, Grace, Isaac, Taryn, Leah, Isaak, Jameson and Summer!

The State competitions are complete so that means the Tigard HS Snowboard Team season has come to an end. 😢 Thank you to our amazing coaches: Garrett, Rayceland and Ian!! Yesterday in the banked slalom/Boardercross competitions Tigard brought home some medals!

Jameson Coffman: 2nd place Boardercross and 3rd place banked Slalom.
Leah Rumford: 2nd place Boardercross and 2nd place banked Slalom
Summer Schroeder: 3rd place Boardercross and 3rd place banked Slalom.

Girls Squad banked slalom: Leah and Summer - 2nd place
Boys Squad banked slalom: Andrew Hepworth, Isaac Olson, Isaak Weisbrod and Jameson Coffman - 2nd place
