It’s so inspiring to be in this ever growing community that’s investing in keeping youth out of the school to prison pipeline and in their communities flourishing! From the NCRC team, to the DA’s office to the County of SD Public Safety group, and all the incredible community partner orgs who give our youth the supports and opportunities they need to blossom - we are proud to stand in the gap with you!

December 6 4-8pm: ✨Reimagining Refuge
Come join this collective of visual and performing artists, organizations, and institutions as we tend to the stories and needs of our vulnerable migrant communities.

December 12 5- 8:30pm:
✨Love Uprising
at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church - A call to communities where love comes first. There will be food, story telling, music, and more!

Team Thrive is growing, so last week we spent a morning bonding at one of our favorite community partners’ open studio So fun to relax, get our mind’s off the daily grind, and our hands in some clay. Even our Thrive team mascot, Cisco Disco, got to hang out and make new friends 👉👉👉

My heart is heavy as I post this and request your support. My beloved brother Russell Archer was the victim of a random senseless assault on Thursday morning and is currently recovering in the hospital. Click the link in my bio for more details on the incident and to support his recovery.

Last month the Thrive program got a big boost from the philanthropy community at a beautiful event at La Jolla Country Club! What an honor to be surrounded by so many movers and shakers in San Diego with deep commitments to keeping youth out of prison and in their communities flourishing!

It’s been a minute! Thought I’d share a little update.

This October I started a new adventure as the full time program manager THRIVE program: a voluntary community-led juvenile diversion program we’re building for justice impacted youth. It’s the final piece of NCRC’s impressive holistic county-wide Diverting the School to Prison Pipeline initiative.

It’s been a busy couple of months wrapping my arms around all the moving parts of this new program and getting settled into my new NCRC family. I’m grateful for the opportunity to work with so many inspiring people to create real lasting change in our community!
