Sometimes, staying busy can feel like a badge of honor.
You know how to be productive and have been praised for “doing it all”, yet you still tell yourself *I’m so busy*.
Other people are impressed by “how you do it all” which feels validating, yet you still feel overwhelmed and defeated.
The validation reinforces the narrative that staying busy is not only productive, but others approve of you when you do it.
And, when your productivity is tied to external recognition, you rely on others to recognize your efforts than being able to validate yourself.

Every second you spend stewing and reliving unsettled emotions, is a second spent reinforcing the acceptance of that behavior.
That is no way to spend your time.
You already think you're behind...
That you can't find time.
That you're wasting time.
That you should be further along.
That you don't have enough time.
That you're not where you should be.
That time is the reason you aren't where you want to be.
Here is how you remedy that.
Practice holding onto the intense feelings you experience whenever you feel bothered.
Practice holding onto them instead of passing it off to someone else.
Practice strengthening your own tolerance for intense discomfort.
Practice holding the full weight of your feelings on your own.
And, if you need to share the weight of your feelings with someone, do it with someone who helps you convert those moments into skills that help you collapse time with every situations you walk into.
People are counting on you to share what you have to offer.
The hour we spend each week is precious, coveted, and life-changing.
It’s why I will not spend even a minute of it commiserating with your story.
Because, again, I listen as your coach, not as your friend.

It's very common for solopreneurs to hold themselves back because of what the people closest to them will think.
Of course, you'd want the people closest to you to be supportive of what you're doing.
It feels incredible to be supported!
But, if you're relying on the external support, validation, and approval of others to go after or continue doing something, you'll only end up disempowering and victimizing yourself.
Because having the support of others isn’t a requirement in your ability to create safety and security within yourself.

Have you ever set out to do something only to change your mind and focus on something else?
Then, I'm sure it's no surprise that when you set out to do something, but end up not doing it, you don’t get the results you’re hoping for.
Except most people think their results are because of the circumstance they're in.
So, they'll go and change the circumstance only to find themselves no further than they were before.
This is because your circumstances aren't responsible for changing your results, your thoughts are.
The first step to getting better at doing this in your business is by understanding the connection between the actions you take (or don’t take) and the thoughts linked to them.

Having a business brings up A LOT of feelings.
You feel insecure putting yourself out there especially in front people you might already know.
You feel frustrated doing (or not doing) all the things and for not being where you think you should be.
You feel confused because for every person that’s saying ‘do this’, there are just as many people saying ‘don’t do that’.
You feel overwhelmed by all your brilliant ideas you end up not doing anything at all.
You feel lonely when no one else understands.
Life brings up a lot of feelings, so will your business.
What many don’t know is how to reconcile having intense feelings and taking action anyways.
You think there will come a time where it will feel fun and comfy and the resistance will dissipate.
It won’t. The resistance will still be there.
But, with an open heart and a willingness to grow through it, you’ll build resilience and strengthen your tolerance to withstand and push through it anyways. Efficiently and effectively.
You’ll learn to trust yourself so much, validation from others is something you’ll receive, but no longer need to seek.
You’ll remember your feelings hold valuable information meant to serve you, not victimize you.
And, you’ll do this work because you know what’s at risk if you don’t.
You know what you want and what you have to walk through to get there.
Because you know you were meant for this work.
You are meant to show others this can be done.
That you are proof of what’s possible.
So feel the feels and keep moving anyways.
Because this IS on you.
