Another horse show in the NW and it’s a bit soggy. Here at the Evergreen Equestrian Park in Monroe, WA it’s great to see everyone coming out and showing even when it’s a bit damp.

Watching and setting for Jeff Cook this weekend reminded me to get back to the basics . He emphasized the importance of straightness; both in front of the fence and in the lines. Straightness tends to take the mystery out of distances and you can feel that in your body. Relaxed and confident riders produce confident and happy horses. Simple but not easy...
