No complaints here. Honestly, the pool might just be your permanent address until September.
The only thing that makes pool days better? A kid who's confident in the water.

We believe swimming is a life skill & approach of our swim lessons with skill, care & passion!
Swimming is an important life skill, and swimming lessons are a wonderful way to empower your kiddo to live life to the fullest. That's because swim lessons make it possible to create lifelong memories in and around water- safely. Our progressive learn to swim curriculum emphasizes proper swimming technique, and water safety, all while having a blast in our comfortable warm water pool.
July 25 is World Drowning Prevention Day. π
300,000 people lost to drowning in a single year. That's the number the WHO reported for 2021 alone. More than 30 people every hour. And nearly a quarter of them were children under the age of 5. In the U.S., drowning is the number one cause of death for children ages one to four. These aren't statistics about distant places or unlikely accidents. They're happening in pools, lakes, and bathtubs β in families just like yours.
The hardest part? The overwhelming majority of these deaths are preventable. Teaching a child to swim won't eliminate every risk. But it builds the water confidence, muscle memory, and safety awareness that can change the outcome in a critical moment. That's exactly what we do, one lesson at a time, one child at a time.
If today moves you to do something, let it be this: get your child or yourself enrolled in swim lessons. Visit us to learn more about what classes are right for your family.

Not all life jackets are created equal. π¦Ί
Walk into any big box store and you'll find shelves full of colorful flotation vests marketed for kids. Cute designs, low prices, easy to grab and toss in the cart. But many of those products have never been tested or approved by the U.S. Coast Guard.
A USCG-approved life jacket has been rigorously tested to meet accepted safety standards. An unapproved flotation device has not. That difference matters enormously in an emergency. What to look for when you check yours:
π The label should clearly state "U.S. Coast Guard Approved"
βοΈ Size by weight, not age
π Straps should buckle snugly, lift from the shoulders and it shouldn't rise past the chin
If yours doesn't have that approval label, it's time to replace it. USCG-approved life jackets for kids are widely available at Dick's Sporting Goods, West Marine, and Amazon and most start around $25.
And remember: a life jacket is a layer of protection, not a substitute for knowing how to swim.

Summer on the water is one of the best things about this season. A few smart habits before you leave the dock keep a great day from turning into a scary one.
Life jackets fitted and on. Weather checked. Someone onshore who knows your route. The details are very important.
Our partners at the NDPA put together a boating safety checklist covering everything before you board, while you're on the water, and how to handle emergencies if they come up. π
Save this post and take 5 minutes to review it before your next trip out. Your passengers will thank you:https://ndpa.org/clothestheywore/Boating-WaterSafetyChecklist-NDPA.pdf

Swim lessons don't stop at the pool's edge. Every skill your child works on is part of a carefully built progression designed to grow their confidence and safety in the water and you can keep that momentum going right at home.
Blowing bubbles in the bathtub. Practicing a flutter kick on the edge of the bed. Learning to hold a streamline on the living room floor. Small, consistent moments like these add up to huge breakthroughs in the water.
We've put together at-home practice activities for every level so you always know exactly how to support your swimmer between classes. π§

Peace of mind, every lesson. π
This parent said it best: patient instructors and real progress, lesson after lesson. That's the trust we build with every child in the water.

Knowing CPR with rescue breaths is a critical skill that can help save a life during a water emergency. When performed quickly, CPR can significantly increase the chances of survival.
If you spend time around pools, lakes, or other bodies of water, becoming CPR certified is an important step in strengthening your water safety knowledge. Training should also be refreshed every couple of years to stay up to date.
