BIG DolFUN cheers for Cindy Ortmayer!
Our very own Cindy has been awarded the 2026 USSSA Core Value Award: “Safety First and Always”! 🎉
Eight years ago, Cindy joined DolFUN SWIM Academy with a lifelong love and respect for the water and a desire to share it with children. Today, she serves as our Aquatic Educator Department Co-Coordinator and Safety Officer, turning that passion into leadership that touches our entire DolFUN family.
From teaching our youngest babies through our most advanced swimmers to training and mentoring our Aquatic Educators, Cindy’s impact reaches far beyond her own classes. Her knowledge and care extend to the hundreds of children taught by the educators she prepares.
As a StarGuard ELITE Certified Professional Trainer, Cindy also trains our team in First Aid, CPR, and Lifeguarding—preparing the people entrusted with caring for your children.
For Cindy, safety is more than a certification or a checklist. It is preparation, vigilance, respect for the water, and a responsibility she carries and passes on every day. Safety First and Always is how she teaches, how she leads, and how she serves.

💙 Our DolFUN Family Needs You 💙

Many of you know and love Alexis, our amazing Operations & Gym Coordinator. She is the person who keeps so much running behind the scenes and is always there to support our coaches, families, and students with kindness, dedication, and a smile.

Recently, Alexis experienced something unimaginable. At just 31 years old, she suffered a sudden cardiac arrest at home. Thanks to the quick actions of her fiancé, roommate, first responders, and an incredible medical team, her life was saved. ❤️

While we're beyond grateful she's still with us, Alexis now faces a long road to recovery and overwhelming medical expenses, including emergency care and specialized treatment that were outside her insurance network.

As a DolFUN family, we'd love to rally around someone who has given so much to all of us.
