Hey everyone, we need to address something important.

SYS is a youth sports program, and alcohol, ma*****na, illegal drugs, and anyone attending while impaired are not permitted at our practices, games, dances, fundraisers, or other SYS events.

Our coaches and volunteers already have a lot of children to supervise, and our focus needs to remain on providing them with a safe, positive environment. We should not have to monitor adult behavior on top of supervising our athletes.

Please respect our program, our facilities, our volunteers, and most importantly, the children who are here to play football and cheer.

Going forward, if alcohol or drug use is observed at an SYS activity, the individual will be asked to leave. We appreciate everyone helping us keep SYS a safe and appropriate environment for our kids.

💙🏈 What a Homecoming Day, SYS! 🏈💙

What a day! From football and cheer, to our Homecoming ceremony, and finally ending the night at our dance — we hope our kids made some memories they’ll be talking about for a long time. 💙

And apparently some of our football players decided Coach Tyler needed one more memory of his own. 😂 They asked Coach to get together for a nice team picture… but the boys had other plans. As soon as it was time for the picture, Coach Tyler got TACKLED! 🏈😂

We’re pretty sure they planned that one a little too well. Sorry, Coach! 🤣

Thank you as well to our coaches, volunteers, board members, concession workers, parents, families, and everyone who helped throughout the day. A special thank-you to the parents and adults who jumped in and helped us during the dance — we absolutely noticed and appreciated you!

The kids had a BLAST at the dance! 💃🕺 We did make the decision to end about an hour early after we began having too many kids leaving the designated dance area, going into hallways and outside around the building. With the number of kids attending, it became too difficult for our volunteers to safely keep everyone where they needed to be.

We know ending early was disappointing, but keeping our kids safe and respecting the school that allowed us to use their facility had to come first. 💙

Thank you to East High School for allowing us to use your facilities and helping make our Homecoming celebration possible.

And most of all, thank you to our SYS families and kids for spending Homecoming with us. We hope you had as much fun as we did!

💙🏈 This is what youth sports is about — the kids, the memories, the friendships, and maybe occasionally tackling your coach when he thinks he’s posing for a picture. 😂🏈

💙🤍 WHY YOUTH SPORTS? 🏈📣

We know everyone sees the games on Saturdays — but some of the best parts of youth sports have nothing to do with the scoreboard.

It’s watching a shy kid finally come out of their shell.

It’s a player learning something they couldn’t do three weeks ago.

It’s teammates becoming best friends.

It’s learning how to win with kindness and how to lose without giving up.

It’s coaches giving their time after work to teach somebody else’s child.

It’s parents rushing from school and work to make practice happen.

And it’s a whole bunch of kids getting to say, “That’s MY team.” 💙

Years from now, most of these kids probably won’t remember every score.

But they’ll remember the teammates who made them laugh, the coach who believed in them, the concession stand after the game, their family cheering from the sidelines, and how it felt to be part of something.

That’s why we do this.

💙🏈📣 SYS GAME DAY RECAP! 📣🏈💙

We started our morning by fueling our athletes with a team breakfast of blueberry cream cheese croissants, bacon, and sausage before heading out to take on the Soldiers! 🥐🫐🥓

Our boys went out there and played a GREAT game today! The scoreboard may not have gone our way, but we are incredibly proud of the effort, heart, and determination they showed from start to finish.

Wins are great, but youth football is also about learning the game, getting better every week, building confidence, and learning how to keep fighting even when things get tough. Our boys did exactly that today. 💪💙

And our cheerleaders?! 📣✨ FANTASTIC, as usual! They brought the energy, kept our sidelines loud, and did an amazing job cheering our boys on all morning. We are so proud of them!

Thank you to our coaches, parents, volunteers, and everyone who showed up to support these kids. It takes a whole community to make game days happen.

And a special congratulations to Ryker, our overall top fundraiser, raising an amazing $240! 🎉

We can’t wait to see our beautiful Homecoming Court recognized and celebrated! 👑
