One of the unexpected joys of working aboard the M/V Thomas Laighton are the people you get to meet along the way.
I recently met the amazing woman behind Namusthang, a fellow Seacoast small-business owner and got to try out her simple, yet brilliant over-the-door yoga mat holder.
It gives my beloved yoga mat a spot to air-dry properly without draping it over a chair, the shower rod, or whatever else is nearby, like my dog’s bed (literally).
It’s already becoming a staple in our “home yoga” studio and I truly love supporting thoughtful ideas, projects and products from the people within our local community.
So here’s to taking care of our favorite mats — and supporting the cool people who make yoga life a little easier 🤍
Order yours directly from Namusthang and simply enjoy ☺️

Slowly but surely, I’ve been adding short YouTube clips with the intention of helping others explore mat yoga poses with the support of a chair.
While teaching my gentle online Ompractice Sip & Stretch yoga classes, I began noticing some members participating fully from a chair — and doing so with such presence, strength, and care for themselves. That experience inspired me to start creating these short and simple videos to expand upon those practices and offer accessible variations, modifications, and adaptations for different bodies and needs.
My hope is to encourage others to keep practicing in whatever way feels supportive and sustainable for them, while reminding people that yoga can meet you exactly where you are.
