Water surface temperatures are in the mid-70s. Live shad, topwater plugs, slab spoons, and soft plastic swimbaits are taking large stripers and “box fish.”

Lake Texoma Topwater Striper | October 2026

Surface water temperature is 78°F, and the topwater setup is a 6-inch Cotton Cordell Pencil Popper in blue and silver.

At first light, look for shad around shallow flats and windblown banks. Work the plug with a steady side-to-side rhythm, then mix in a pause or twitch to see what the fish respond to.

Lake Texoma Striper Report | October 13, 2026

Surface water temperatures are in the mid to upper 70s and falling. Once we hit 70, we’re looking for A+ striper fishing on Lake Texoma!

Live bait is still the most consistent method, but we’re getting early-morning topwater action too. Start with topwater plugs, then switch to live bait. Slab spoons and swimbaits are still producing as well.

🎣 Lake Texoma Fishing Report – July 18, 2026

Lake Texoma continues to produce outstanding striped bass fishing! Summer patterns are in full swing, with schools of stripers holding in 15–30 feet of water. Anglers are catching quick limits by casting paddle tail swimbaits to active fish and vertically jigging chartreuse slab spoons once the schools move deeper.

The morning bite has been excellent, and electronics are key to staying on fast-moving schools. Families, first-time anglers, and experienced fishermen are all enjoying steady action and plenty of fish for the cooler.

Lake Texoma Fishing Report – Last Week of June 2026

The summer striper bite on Lake Texoma remains excellent as fish continue to settle into their deep-water pattern. Steve Buckley has been consistently putting clients on quality striped bass by vertically jigging slab spoons in 20–35 feet of water. Once schools are located with electronics, the bite has been fast, with aggressive stripers crushing spoons worked directly beneath the boat.
