🎣 Lake Texoma Fishing Report – July 18, 2026

Lake Texoma continues to produce outstanding striped bass fishing! Summer patterns are in full swing, with schools of stripers holding in 15–30 feet of water. Anglers are catching quick limits by casting paddle tail swimbaits to active fish and vertically jigging chartreuse slab spoons once the schools move deeper.

The morning bite has been excellent, and electronics are key to staying on fast-moving schools. Families, first-time anglers, and experienced fishermen are all enjoying steady action and plenty of fish for the cooler.

🎣 Lake Texoma Fishing Report – Steve Buckley Striper Guide Service

Early summer patterns are producing excellent action on Lake Texoma. Live bait fishing continues to put together quality catches of striped bass, with schools of fish holding along river channels and structure as threadfin shad move across the lake.

This week’s trips saw steady rod-bending action despite changing weather conditions. The live bait bite has been consistent throughout the morning, and families, kids, and experienced anglers alike are putting plenty of fish in the boat. Nothing beats watching a striper load up a rod and hearing the drag start singing.

The fish are healthy, feeding hard, and setting up in classic summer locations. If you’re looking to fill the cooler and enjoy some great time on the water, now is an excellent time to book a trip.

🎣 Lake Texoma Striper Fishing Report – May 2026

The May bite on Lake Texoma has been incredibly consistent, with anglers catching quality limits of striped bass drifting live threadfin shad near major river channels and deeper ledges. Schools of feeding fish have stayed active throughout the month, especially during low-light morning periods and on windy afternoons.

Steve Buckley with Buckley Striper Guide ServiceοΏΌ continues to put clients on fish daily using proven live bait patterns around suspended bait schools and channel edges. Most productive depths have ranged from 15 to 30 feet depending on wind direction and bait movement.

Family trips, corporate groups, and first-time anglers have all enjoyed steady action recently, with plenty of keeper-sized stripers hitting the coolers. Water clarity has remained good, and threadfin shad are holding tight to the channels, making drifting presentations extremely effective right now.

If you’re planning a Lake Texoma fishing trip, May has been one of the strongest live-bait striper bites so far this season.
