I had an 11 man trip out this morning that Mark Bannister helped me with and we both brought back a really nice spread of fish. Mark made easy work of it on live bait while we got it done on swim baits bringing home some good quality fish. Good tomes for sure! Out topwater bite is slowing down and the fish ate about to start going nuts under the birds. We caught most of our fish in shallow water on swimbaits but there are lots of fish laying on the bottom in 45-65 ft of water. They don't really want slabs right now but they will change when the start feeding under the birds in a week or two as the wayer cooled a bit more. I have openings tomorrow then Monday-Wednesday of next week. Looking to do an openboat trip on Wednesday, who wants to go?

Fishing was fantastic today! The topwater bite was on fire this morning for about 20 minutes and we pulled 10 with all of our overs before we lost them. The slab bite was hard to find but they bit good once we finally located them. Good times! I have tomorrow and Wednesday open next week. Who wants to go?

Sometimes I wonder how these fish are able to survive. Casting these pencil poppers with 2 big treble hooks, you would think a fish would have a hard time not getting hooked, but these fish can blow up on a topwater lure a dozen times on a single cast, knocking it 2 feet in the air, and still never get a hook in their mouth. That was the morning we had trying to put our overs in the boat today. Big fish hitting left and right but when we finally do hookup, its a little fish. Well we did manage 1 out of 30 and got a nice over in the boat but just one today, its not our fault though, those fish are just poor hunters. Slab fishing was on fire under the birds today, at least for a while and we caught all we needed in no time. Good times!

I have an open boat trip going out tomorrow chasing big fish on topwaters followed by slabs under the birds. Fishing is good! Who wants to go?
This morning I brought home our limit of 20 stripers with all of our overs, 4 sandbass, and a 13 point buck that I killed driving to work. I got permission from the game warden to keep him and my dad had him quartered and on ice before I even finished my trip. Good times! Now to head to the collision center for an estimate, all in a days work.

Fishing was good after the cold front, topwater action early for our big fish and slabs under the birds afterwards. Good times! I have an open boat trip next week, looking at Tuesday. Who wants to go?

The topwater bite for these big fish has been consistent for me this year. Today we put all of our overs in the box and yesterday we got close. Then we move to slabs to finish up. The wind helped out a lot today getting that done. Yesterday was tough getting them to hit slabs on a Saturday with no wind but we managed to grind out a good box of fish. Good times! I have Monday Tuesday and Wednesday open next week. Looking to put together an open boat trip on Wednesday, who wants to go?

It was a fantastic morning out there today! Beautiful weather and big fish blowing up on top! Glad to see these big fish coming in the boat! Come get some some of this surface action before its too late. It ends around the first week of Nov. and then we are chasing birds. Good times!
