On Friday evening during the 6th form Gala, Ellie was awarded the John Mauger Award. The Mauger award recognizes character development, not necessarily record levels of achievement, through faithful, diligent, consistent participation in Varsity Athletics. Congratulations, Ellie!!!

Our final sendoff is Sammie Faella, who will take her talents to MIT next year!
“Hill and HGB have both given me so many amazing memories with my teammates and friends. Being here has taught me a lot about myself and pushed me to work hard and dream big. Through the highs and lows, we continued to show our toughness and heart. In addition to the games and practices, I’ll never forgot all of the overnight trips, team dinners, and locker room chats. Thank you HGB for giving me an amazing group of girls to have as a family here at Hill.” - #2 Sammie Faella

Next up : Captain, Ellie Moser, who will be attending the Air Force Academy next year!!!
“Throughout my time at Hill and playing HGB, I learned that it’s the people who make something truly special. HGB is not just an ordinary team; it’s a family. I’ve spent countless hours on the court, in the locker room, traveling to games, and sitting at team dinners, and there is no other way I would rather have spent my time. The memories, friendships, and experiences I’ve gained over these past four years are something I will always cherish. Whether we win or lose, we do it together, and that bond is what makes this team so special. I am deeply grateful to have had the opportunity to be part of HGB over these past four years, and I could not imagine my time at Hill without it.” - #4 Ellie Moser

Our next 6th form sendoff is Zy!!!
“HGB taught me to not only challenge myself and step out of my comfort zone, but to also support those around me. I also learned to appreciate every small moment and take nothing for granted as we progressed through our season. It wasn’t the record that made the team special, but the sense of community and family that we’d built over time. Every late practice and overnight tournament we had are moments that I will never forget. As graduation gets closer, it’s sad to think I’ll be leaving behind some teammates who I was lucky enough to grow such a close bond with. Still, I’m very proud to be part of the Hill Girls Basketball community and I’ll forever be grateful for the friendships, memories, and lessons that it has given me. ” - #10 Zy Williams
