The Norchester Red Knights are proud to announce the launch of our summer Youth Golf Program — creating another opportunity for young athletes to learn, compete, develop confidence, and represent the Red & Black. We have partnered with Big Screen Golf in Pottstown for this exciting new program, and we couldn’t be more excited to share the details. While other programs are waiting for opportunities, we’re creating them. The Norchester Red Knights are breaking the mold of youth sports, and our golf program will be the next chapter in our exciting new era.

The Details

Q: Where is NRK Golf held?
A: Training takes place at Big Screen Golf in Pottstown—a premier indoor golf simulator facility where players get real feedback, real reps, and real development. The best part? Beating the summer heat in this fully indoors, air conditioned space!

Q: When does it start and how long does it run?
A: We kick off July 6 and run for 6 weeks total, meeting one night per week. Short season, high impact—every session is designed to matter.

Q: How much does it cost?
A: Just $100 to join the full 6-week program.
No barriers, no gimmicks—just real coaching, real reps, and real development.

Q: Do I need my own clubs?
A: Nope—you do not need clubs. Kids golf club rentals will be available $10/week

But if you have your own, feel free to bring them and train with what you play with.

Q: Who is it for?
A: Any youth athlete, boy or girl, ages 8-18, ready to learn, compete, and improve. Beginners are welcome, experienced players get pushed—everyone develops here.

Q: What will players do?
A: Each week builds real game skills:

Swing fundamentals & mechanics
Simulator training with real-time feedback

Players will be grouped into foursomes by age and each week will receive:

30 minutes of instruction from a master teaching professional
60 minutes of competitive skills play

Yes, if you have a friends, you can build your own foursome!

All participants will receive a Norchester Red Knights Golf Team shirt included with their registration.

Some freedoms are written in history books. Others are carried quietly in empty seats at family tables, folded flags, and the hearts of those left behind.

This Memorial Day, the Norchester Red Knights pause to honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. They missed birthdays, holidays, graduations, and precious moments with the people they loved — all so future generations of Americans could live with freedom and opportunity.

Today is more than a long weekend. It is a day of remembrance. A day to teach our young athletes the meaning of sacrifice, courage, teamwork, and putting others before yourself. The values we try to build on the field were first demonstrated by heroes who gave everything for something greater than themselves.

We remember the fallen.
We honor their families.
And we promise their sacrifice will never be forgotten.

“Tackle football isn’t for everyone.”

You hear that phrase sometimes like it’s a negative thing. Truth is… it shouldn’t be.

Every child is different.

Some kids are naturally aggressive and love the physical side of football. Some kids are still building confidence. Some kids take longer to develop physically. Some just want to compete, stay active, make friends, and be part of a team atmosphere without the contact.

That does NOT make them less athletic. It does NOT make them less competitive. And it definitely does NOT mean football isn’t for them.
Regardless of what you may see or hear on social media, college programs aren’t scouting or handing out scholarships at your child’s 9u or 11u football game, no matter how talented they may be. Some all time greats, including Tom Brady, didn’t even play organized tackle football until high school. Everyone takes a different path in their football journey, and that’s ok.

That’s exactly why flag football has become one of the fastest growing youth sports in the country. 🏈

Flag football gives kids the chance to:

✔ Develop speed, agility, and coordination

✔ Fall in love with football at their own pace

For some athletes, flag football is the beginning of a future tackle career.

The cost is only $100 for the fall 2026 season, and registration is open to boys and girls in all grade levels. No travel, and all games will be played at our home field at Connie Batdorf Park in Pottstown!
