Pictured are 10 new Take It Outdoors staff members and volunteers who just earned their American Canoe Association River Kayaking Instructor certification.

That’s 10 more people in our region dedicated to growing and strengthening the paddling community through education.

The next time you paddle with one of them, ask them to teach you something — they’d love the opportunity.

Join us for a pop-up paddle on the Perkiomen Creek!

We’ll be launching from the new Marlborough Boat Ramp, which means no more steep descent below the trail like we’ve had to tackle in the past.

This trip covers about 4 miles and includes a few fun features along the way. Please note: this paddle is not recommended for first-timers.

It’s one of our favorite runs, and we only get the chance to do it after a good rain — don’t miss it!

We are so excited to kick off 2026 with a tour and tap takeover at one of our favorite partners, ! Not only are they one of our original Trail Friendly Businesses, but they are also always supporting our events and finding new ways to help our organization.

So-join us on 1/27 at the Pottstown Tastin' Room at 4:30 for the brewery tour, at 5:30 when SRG and .it.outdoors staff will be pouring your favorite beers (and Sly Fox will be donating a portion of the proceeds to SRG).
