Good morning.

During winter travels, Nellie seems downright palatial with all the spare room she has. Not so much for warm weather escapes! With her “garage” stuffed with fishing gear, inflatable SUP, biking and hiking gear, other various outdoor gear, and her insides filled with kayaks, … just room in my cockpit and passenger seats! Will unload when I arrive.

Nellie took me (and my bike) to Newport, RI to hear Cole Brauer at her speaking engagement. Cole spent over 4 months circumventing the globe as the first American women to sail solo around the world, without stops. Very inspirational! The next day was rainy but the Cliff Walk was still awesome. They wouldn't let Nellie in the gates of The Breakers. Snobs! 🤣🤣🤣. The next day was perfect to cycle the 27 miles around Conanicut Island. Sailboats. Windmills. Rock beaches. and of course, Mansions.

Forgot to share... Nellie took Diana and I up to Saranac Lake in the Adirondacks, into the "path of totality" for the Solar Eclipse last week. Stayed at Harvest Host's Moonstone Farms. The eclipse was surreal,...AWESOME. The 4 minutes of eerie darkness and noticeable chill was worth the long drive.

Bike riding the Canalway of the Empire Trail up near Rotterdam. Ars is sore after 28 miles (super strong headwinds made it feel like 108 miles!) but some nice sights along the way.
