Our last official gardening day for 2025 at the historic Lown garden was this past Wednesday. We braved the cold morning, but warmed up quickly with tons and tons of weeding. We certainly miss the students from Vassar and hope they’ll be able to join us again in the spring. Thank you to Sue and Christine for joining our efforts this year!

We had a beautiful day for gardening yesterday at College Hill. We planted two flats of Campanula flowers and did a lot of weeding. We missed the students from Vassar College☹️

Today was a shining example of what can be achieved through teamwork at the historic Lown Garden at College Hill. Mostly weeding and watering, our shared passion for gardening brought us closer together. A special thank you to Heather Whitefield and her company, Organic Matters, for sending three volunteers. As always, we appreciate the invaluable contributions of the interns from the Vassar Preserve and our regular volunteers.
