Meet Miss Hallie! ✨

Originally from the Chicago area, Hallie discovered her love for dance and choreography through competitive dance and drill team. She went on to study Sociology and Dance at Manhattanville College before spending a decade in Brooklyn performing and working as a rehearsal director with Donofrio Dance Company.

A certified yoga instructor and personal trainer, Hallie loves helping others find strength, confidence, and joy through movement.

We’re so excited to welcome Hallie to the NK Danceworks family! 💕

MEET AMY ✨

A lifelong Kitsap local, Amy grew up on Bainbridge Island and now calls Poulsbo home with her husband, Josh, and their two children, Tanner and Kayla.

After earning her degree in Elementary Education from Linfield College, Amy found her true calling in insurance, eventually taking ownership of her family’s agency in 2022. In 2025, she sold the agency to Duncan & Associates, where she continues to serve as an agent.

Amy is also deeply rooted in the performing arts community. What began as backstage support for her daughter Kayla’s dance performances grew into years on stage, running the nonprofit for Galletta Dance, and serving on the board of Bainbridge Ballet.

When she’s not working or supporting the arts, Amy loves traveling the world with family and friends and scrapbooking all the memories along the way.

We are excited to be offering a full list of adult classes for ages 15+ , welcoming all levels to join in on moving their bodies and having fun!

Meet Miss Megan! ✨

Growing up in Oregon, Miss Megan began dancing at age 4, training in ballet, jazz, lyrical, modern, tap, and hip hop. She went on to captain an OSAA state championship dance team, choreograph productions, and earn her Master’s in Teaching in 2010.

After teaching high school in Los Angeles, she discovered her passion for teaching children’s dance and spent years teaching ballet and jazz in Pasadena, CA.

In 2021, Miss Megan returned to the PNW with her husband and two kids and has continued sharing her love of dance throughout Kitsap County.

She loves helping students build confidence, self-discipline, and self-expression through the joy of music and movement!

Dancer, choreographer, and director John Paul Bishop brings decades of experience to North Kitsap DanceWorks.

A former principal dancer who performed with over 20 companies worldwide, John has worked with legendary artists including Balanchine and Baryshnikov and has choreographed more than 50 original ballets.

As Artistic Director of Northwest Ballet Theater for 22 years, he staged numerous full-length classics and earned the 2004 Award for Best Choreography at the St. Petersburg International Ballet Competition. His students and dancers have gone on to prestigious companies, competitions, and even Olympic success.

We’re thrilled to welcome John and his wealth of knowledge, artistry, and passion to North Kitsap DanceWorks!
