🥋🏆 UCSD KARATE TAIKAI 2026 RESULTS 🏆🥋

We are incredibly proud of all of our competitors who represented Ryukyu Japan Karate Do this weekend at the UCSD Karate Taikai 2026!

From first-time competitors stepping onto the tournament floor for the very first time, to our returning competitors continuing to grow and improve — everyone showed great courage, effort, sportsmanship, and heart throughout the day.

Congratulations to all of our medalists and competitors on an amazing tournament! 👏🔥

A special thank you to all of our parents, families, supporters, and coaches for helping make this experience possible.

Thank you as well to Senpai Brahman Gnad for coaching and supporting our team throughout the tournament.

🇺🇸🥋 Congratulations to Our AAU National Team Members! 🥋🇺🇸

We are proud to announce that Alex Do, Xavi Nguyen, McKenzie Bridgeford, Sunny Sorter, and Skyler Sorter were selected for the AAU National Team to represent Team USA at the WUKF World Championships in Club Cluj, Romania! 🇷🇴

This is a huge accomplishment and a reflection of the hard work, dedication, and effort each of these students has put into their training.

We are excited that Alex Do and Xavi Nguyen will be traveling to Romania to compete and represent both Team USA and Ryukyu Japan Karate Do on the world stage. We wish them the best of luck and know they will make the dojo proud!

Unfortunately, McKenzie, Sunny, and Skyler will not be able to attend this year’s World Championships, but we are still incredibly proud of their achievement in making the national team. We hope to see them continue training hard and earn another opportunity to represent Team USA again next year.
