Congrats! To our students who got their new levels. It was such a hot day at the Dojo on Sunday 08.27.2023.

A great day at Moonlight Beach - Supposedly to be a karate beach training day which not much karate was accomplished. But the kids had so much fun burying people, playing volleyball, digging a hole, started a bonfire, cooking hotdogs and s’mores over fire

Wrapping up AAU KARATE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP 2023 in Florida with Team Ryuei-Ryu USA kicking ass at the competition. It was great coaching our team, they did extremely well in improving from their time at last year’s nationals. Next up, wishing Taishi Tozaki and Merly Ortiz luck in their venture in USA-NKF Karate Nationals in Virginia!!!

A great way to start the lunar new year with having a our own mini dojo tournament which was ran by the older advanced kids and showing the younger generations on how to compete and do in a tournament. Thank you to all the parents for bringing your kids and showing great support for our group.

Thank you all for coming to our annual Keiko Hajime. It was a wonderful success. The dojo looks sparkling clean thanks to all the kids and parents help. Hope you all enjoyed the curry. Please say thank you to Toshi (Harry’s dad) for these amazing photos. Thank you to Sara (Shane and Megan’s mom) for bringing the delicious mochi cakes. I love the goals/new years resolutions the kids are working on. Keep working hard!

Monday kumite at the dojo. September 2018

Attended Fiesta International tournament yesterday. Only a few of our kids competed. Good job kids!

The dojo had their graduation party for those student going away to college. This year Rey Simon is off to UCSD and Nathalie Alfelor will be going to UCRiverside. Good job! The dojo collects items that we think the student might need when they go off to their University. September 2018. We are so proud!

Our team at the 2018 USANKF Nationals in Reno. We had a very successful and fun time.

We did have class on Halloween, only a few dressed up, but everyone got candy at the end of the class.

Our Dojo gathered together to raise money for kids in Poway that need help. There was the 10K,5K, and 1 mike fun run or walk. Everyone did an awesome job. Go team!

Our team went to Hollenbeck tournament and did a great job. Brittney and Yuto both got 1st place and money rewards in their divisions. Harry got 2nd in Kata and kumite, JM got first in both Kata and kumite, Flay got 2nd in kobudo, 1st in Kata, and 3rd kumite, and our youngest competitor Natalie had to go up in age division and she received 1st Kata, and 3rd in kumite. Good job everyone!

Our team competed at Fiestas Tournament and came home with the gold. Missing in this picture is Natalie and Flay Goodwin. Thank you Denis and Yuto for helping with Coaching.

A small group went to AAU qualifiers yesterday up in Mission Viejo. Everyone did a great job. Both Natalie and Flay got gold in Kata and kumite, flay had some big boys in his group. Yuta got gold Kata and silver in kumite. And our newest member Brittany got her gold in kumite. I am not only proud of their medals but most of all I'm very happy with their improvements in their forms and timing. Much better!

Congratulations to Our team mates that went to Portland,Oregon and competed in the Yoshida Cup 2017. Plus some of our Sensei friends from Japan. Thank you all! Chris and Harry did a great job along with Toshi and Kimberly being the Official Photographer.

We had our Kyu testing tonight, everyone did a great job! Congratulations!

Our kids did a great job at the AAU Qualifiers. Nathalie Alfelor and John-Michael Rivera received VIP awards for top male and female. The dojo came home with 11 golds, 6 silvers and 2 bronzes. Congratulations!

Four of our boys got their black belts today, I'm so proud of them. They were awesome.

Rey Simon, Taishi Tozaki, and Gakuji Tozaki just came back from Colorado Springs to join the USANKF Senior tryouts. Congratulations to Gakuji for getting 3rd place in the men's lineup. January 2017
