The first week of the 2026 fall season is in the books! Opening day became Opening night this year and it was so much fun! Some of the night’s Highlights if you missed it, were the parade of teams, Marie singing our National Anthem, Tristyn throwing out the first pitch to Reagan, kick-ball and wiffle ball games, home run derby contests, base running contests, inflatables, participation from the KSU softball team, Italian ice, and our fantastic sponsors’ tables to visit and shop at!

The games begin back tonight after taking the Labor Day weekend off!

Today is the last day to register for the fall 2026 season. Once we close registration, we will not open it until after the teams have been drafted.

Skills assessments are Saturday. Sign up links will be sent out to registered players again on Thursday for all those registered to play.

3 days left to complete your Fall registration. Registration will close on Wed (7/29) night and will not re-open until after the teams have been formed. Some age groups are near capacity and a waitlist will begin for those groups.

Signup slots for Saturday's skills assessments have been sent by email to all those who were registered as of yesterday.

All the information for the skills assessments is on each individual age group signup link. Sugar and Spice players (4-5 yr old) do NOT complete the skills assessments.

One of the greatest honors we get at WCGS is awarding our annual college scholarships to our outgoing seniors. Congratulations to our 2026 recipients - Layla, Bella, Olivia, Autum, Ayla, and Leah. Everyone of these girls have been in some program at WCGS for at least 10 years, some even more than that and all are extremely servant-hearted. Good luck girls and stop by to say hello anytime.

We have been attending the Marietta July 4th parade for approximately 27 years and leave every year saying, "West Cobb should do a float". After all those years and thanks to our concessions director Maggie Edwards Pritchett her husband Noah, and Mike Barney, we finally did it. Great fun for all and thanks to the families that came and helped out. Happy 4th y'all!! 🇺🇲🥎🇺🇲🥎
