Ohio Thunder FP '12 Stubenrauch

All Sanction World Series, our last event of a long season! The girls started off pool play strong going 4-0. Tomorrow will be the last day of the 2025 season as we play game 92 at 9:45 AM. Win or lose, these girls have been a blast and have gotten better and better as the year’s gone on!

Last week, the girls went to Ocean City MD for the USSSA 12U Open National Championships with nearly 50 teams.

We started off slow and a couple bad bounces left us with 2 ties in pool play. Our 1-1-2 pool record put us in the silver bracket. It wasn’t where we wanted to be but all we could do was play the teams in front of us.

The girls responded well and ran through the silver bracket undefeated to claim the Silver Bracket Championship. All of the girls contributed to the victory with some great performances including home runs, sacrifice bunts, great pitchers and catchers, and much more. The girls also got to enjoy some beach time in the sun.

This group of girls has had a special year and we’ve got one more event here at Berliner to close out a tremendous season!

Thunder girls start the day off right, going 3-0 in pool play.

This weekend saw our girls swelter and play 7 games while it felt like 100 degrees. On a few occasions, they seemed like they were beaten. But, winners find a way to win. Somehow they rattled off 4 straight wins today (2 of those games went to extra innings) to end as champions.

Proud of their effort! After the game ended at Riversidede Park, at least one coach took a dip in the Mohican River trying to cool off!
