Slick Whisker's "Royal T CUP" Pool League

END OF WEEK 6 RANKINGS...

Hey there - Slick Whiskers Pool Leaguers....the Royal T. Cup playoffs is on the horizon. There are 3 weeks left in the regular season for Session III and the scores are really starting to tighten up. There are some real surprises this session as well. Just take a look at the leaders, probably who you expected but certainly the order of rank not in line with most pre-season forecasts. And look closer at the same leaders...a few of those names seem out of place, don't they? And the middle of the pack....only 3 points separates 7th and 12th place.

Every point is critical. The regular season goal for most is to position themselves for the tournament anywhere from a 1 to 8 seed, earning at least 1 bye in the playoffs.

The path to the RT Cup finals will be much easier for those seeded 1 thru 8. Seeds 9-16 will play in a first round, sudden death match-up just to advance to round 2. Opportunity? nah...Gauntlet...yes! Round 2 matches the round 1 victors against the slightly favored AND well rested 5 thru 8 seeds. But round 2 is no joke, for this is also a sudden death winner advances match-up. OUCH! Starting round 3 and all rounds forward, all matches will be a "race to 2". Translation: Best of 3 series. And round 3 pits highly favored seeds 1 thru 4 against the now battle savvy winners of round 2. No easy task. The wheat will certainly be separated from the chaff here (metaphorically speaking!) WOW. Get a babysitter, call off work, board up the windows. It is going to be a night to witness!

Hello Royal T'Cup Leaguers...
Hi everyone. League scores will be posted this evening.. Headed to slicks now (3:30 - Sat) for some recreational time if anyone is interested. A chance to practice with the commish before Monday. Wait a minute....scratch that! Doesn't sound very appealing when you say it out loud! Lol. Go League!

STANDINGS AT THE END OF WEEK 5...

Here it is folks....5 of 9 regular season games are now in the books. I think week 6 is moving day for the rankings. Pretty sure I heard THE OCHO is scouting camera placement and "view-ability" of a 'previously recorded' sports event. The rumor mill speaks of possible interest in the final week of the season. Check out the match-ups and then check the current standings...Intriguing isn't it?!?! Some action and still photographs with a few videos will follow tomorrow! And check out my next post. Possible field trip for the league for thursday 2/12. I will be at slicks around 5ish, play some pool, then head over to Presidential Tavern, about 2,161 feet away as the crow flies, and check out their nice, new, awesomely league-worthy Diamond Pool Tables. It is a volunteer field trip so your, final GPA will not be impacted...See you then

Hey, my fellow royal t cup pool leaguers. We're halfway through the season. It's a tight race at the top, but it's still anybody's game. The final touches are painstakingly being made regarding the playoff structure; you will see that coming up in the next week or so. Additionally, rankings will be out this evening (minus 1 make up, scheduled to play fri. Who you ask? And what I am sure will be a riveting and tumultuous match, the underdog: the godfather of varmit control himself, J Dog will try to rectify his spotless, yet winless record against the favorite: dont be fooled by her mild demeanor, she's a sharh. She is the one, she is the only, but she is ours....the Ho**er (but don't call her a sticher...them's fightin' words!
Also I wanted to let you know that there will be some construction with this site over the next day or 2. don't be alarmed, not going anywhere. I'm switching it over from a business page to a creator page. Sounds like I know what I'm doing right boy do I got you guys fooled commissioner out!

Congrats to the Buckeye Valley barons M.S. girls basketball team. They captured the league championship with a convincing victory over the de facto home team Worthington Christian. Shout out to E. and her entire team for an awesome achievement!!! James Bice Laura Elaine Bice
