Carbon County Mammoths Ice Hockey Club
Amateur youth players gathering together to learn & play ice hockey. It’s all in good fun!

We’re honored to be featured in The Salt Lake Tribune!🏒📰
Thank you to the reporter, Belle Fraser and the Tribune team for taking the time to hear our story and shine a spotlight on youth hockey in Carbon County. I'm truly grateful for the coaches, volunteers, and families who’ve helped grow this program from a tiny dream on rough ice to the thriving community we have today. Huge thanks to Carbon County Utah Commissioners, & Carbon Events & Recreation for being such strong supporters along the way!
Our kids play true pond hockey—on an outdoor rink that’s snow-dependent and shaped by the weather. Some days the ice is lumpy, other days it’s melting—but when it’s good, it’s magic.
Our players are determined, scrappy, and full of heart. They dream big—of one day skating under the lights as future Utah Mammoths —and we believe in every one of them.
We’re also thrilled by the news that Smith Entertainment Group plans to donate up to $500,000 per new rink toward building arenas across Utah—up to 20 new facilities statewide.
We’re hopeful the CC Mammoths could be among the recipients of this pledge—this kind of investment would elevate our program and bring even more opportunities to our region.

Unfortunately that means practice is canceled this Saturday, 2/1/25. If you’d still like gear to go out to the Castle Dale rink for their pickup game, please let us know!
The ice skating pond is CLOSED again! Warmer temperatures have made the ice unsafe for skating. Please stay off the pond for your safety.
