⚽ PRESEASON COMPLETE — NOW IT COUNTS! ⚽

The CSA U9B Premier & Select Teams wrapped up a successful preseason this past Labor Day weekend with a pair of scrimmages at St. Mary’s Soccer Club.

After a summer of training, scrimmages, hard work and plenty of growth, both squads are ready to kick off their EDP CMSSL U9 regular seasons this Saturday, September 12!

Premier and Select will both hit the road for opening weekend, with away matches in Washington, DC and Howard County.

A big thank you to our players, coaches and families for all the time and energy they’ve put in preparing for the season.

What a WEEKEND for our U15 Select Girls at the Blue Ridge Cup in Charlottesville, VA! 🏆⚽️

These girls battled through every game, played with heart, fought for every ball, and NEVER stopped believing. 💪🏼🔥

And when the final whistle blew…

The CSA U12 Boys Premier Black kicked off their fall season with a strong showing at the Annapolis Cup, finishing the weekend 1-2 with both losses coming in hard-fought, competitive matches.

🔥 The "Strikers" earned an impressive 5-1 win over ASA Juventus Premier and battled all the way to the final whistle in a thrilling 3-2 match on Sunday.

The boys played some great soccer all weekend, competed hard in every match, and showed plenty of heart against strong competition. 💪

A great weekend together and a great start to the fall season!

Is your player ready for more? Did they excel during their last rec season? Calvert Soccer Association has a place for our most driven young athletes to grow: RecPlus.
Built for U7/U8 and U9/U10 players who are ready for more than standard recreational soccer, RecPlus bridges the gap between recreational soccer and travel-level competition — without requiring a full-time travel commitment. It’s the perfect next step for kids showing advanced skills, competitive drive, and a hunger to be pushed further.

What makes RecPlus different:
• 🏅 Competitive play in the Tri-County Area RecPlus league
• 🥅 Two practices a week, with games Friday evenings or Saturdays
• 📈 Tiered team placement based on evaluation, so players compete at the right level
• 🧢 Coached by dedicated volunteers with head-coach guidance and structured training plans
• 🏆 Optional end-of-season tournament for teams ready to test themselves further

Season details:
• Season runs mid/late August through early November

Out of an abundance of caution due to the impending severe thunderstorms, we are cancelling tonight’s CSA evening summer camps. Sessions will be extended the next two nights to ensure curriculum is covered.
