🐴 Full-Time and Two part time Barn Hands Needed – Princeton, NJ (Hiring ASAP!)

Stony Brook Stables in Princeton, New Jersey is seeking a reliable, hard-working full-time barn hand to join our dedicated team We are growing ! We’re looking for someone with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for horses and barn care.

📍 Location: Princeton, NJ
📅 Position: Full-Time (40 hours/week) part time (20 hours/week)
⏰ Start Date: ASAP
💰 Compensation: Based on experience but Starting pay $18-$22 hr
🕓 Schedule: 5 days per week, including weekends.
🎉 Join our team and earn a sign-on bonus after your first three months with us. We’re looking for reliable, hardworking individuals who want to grow with us.

Job Responsibilities:
Daily stall cleaning and bedding management
Feeding, watering, and hay distribution (AM/PM)
Turning horses in and out of fields safely
Cleaning and refilling water buckets and troughs
Sweeping and maintaining tidy aisles, tack areas.
Assisting with blanketing, fly gear, and turnout changes
General barn upkeep and assisting with light maintenance as needed.

Team & Training Environment:
You’ll be joining a supportive, organized team environment with multiple barn staff members who work together daily. Under the guidance of our Barn Manager, Kristina, you’ll receive effective training, clear communication, and ongoing support to ensure confidence in your daily tasks and overall workflow.

Ideal Candidate:
Prior horse handling experience required
Dependable, punctual, and able to work efficiently in all weather conditions
Comfortable handling a variety of horses (lesson, boarders, retirees, etc.)
Works well in a team environment and takes pride in quality care
18+ years old
