When William Flynn redesigned Springdale Golf Club in 1927, he established principles that continue to define the course nearly a century later.

Flynn believed great golf should feel connected to the natural landscape. His routing embraced the property's contours and character, creating a walkable course that rewards precision, creativity, and thoughtful decision-making.

Today, Springdale remains a reflection of Flynn’s architectural vision while continuing to serve as a place where golf, community, and tradition come together in Princeton.

One of the defining characteristics of William Flynn’s architecture was his belief that great golf courses should reward strategy, not just power.

Flynn designed courses that challenge players to think carefully about angles, positioning, risk, and precision. At Springdale Golf Club, those principles are still evident today. . .

Strategic bunkering, subtle green complexes, and the importance of shot placement continue to reflect Flynn’s vision, nearly a century after his 1927 redesign of the course.

Join the fun Saturday, June 13th from 10:00 AM–2:00 PM on Hole #13 during your regular tee time and take your shot in our Closest to the Pin challenge against Superintendent Donovan Maguigan, GCSAA.

No sign up necessary — just step up and take your shot if you choose.
