A little R&R time for us in Moab.

Northwest Off Road Trainers have had a very busy 2018. Five training sessions at Hangtown in Rancho Cordova, CA, 23 Wildfire Fire Fighters at Warm Springs, OR and working with members of the Oregon State Police, Coos County Sheriff’s and US Air Force on SxS training. We managed to squeeze in a 10 day break and head to Moab, Utah for a little SxS off roading on arguably the best area in the country. We look forward to more training opportunities for 2019. Merry Christmas & Happy New Years to everyone.

Northwest Off Road Trainers just spent a week with the U. S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO. Teaching the "Fly Boys" how to keep their wheels on the ground...ATV wheels that is.

We now have 8 new ATV Instructors and it was one of the more memorable weeks we've had. The scenery was spectacular and the wildlife on the academy grounds is unbelievable...deer, Elk, antelope and turkeys almost a daily sighting.

A few weeks off and on to Oak Ridge TN. for the Spring SxS Jamboree at Windrock Off Road Riding Park with Yamaha...we hear there's moonshine in "dem hills". Hmmmmm!

Northwest Off Road Trainers just spent the week with a Yamaha Outdoors at their National Sales Meeting in Phoenix, AZ. Riding conditions were ideal and we spent three days riding in spectacular scenery. The YXZ continues to impress all who drove it, kinda like NASCAR in the dirt!

Northwest Off Road Trainers spent this past week at Windrock Off Road Park near Oak Ridge TN. with Yamaha offering free consumer rides on their ATV's and SxS's. We love traveling in the South, the people are great and the fun meter is close to a 10. The weather was perfect and the Southern food and hospitality were terrific. The "Wolverine" SxS is in its element here along with the ever popular Grizzly & Kodiak ATV's. Windrock is spotless with cabins, a campground and General Store. Easily one of the best in the country.

Next stop...Moab , Utah in a few weeks...stay tuned...

I think I've becomes "desert rat" this past month...have had the pleasure of working with Yamaha at their National Sales Meeting in the Phoenix, AZ. One week later, Glamis Sand Dunes in extreme southeastern California was my office to provide demo rides to the public on the YXZ 1000R SxS. The desert did not disappoint! Trail rides for Yamaha staff at the Boulders OHV area in near perfect riding weather. Then off to the sand dunes of Glamis where it was s bit warmer and riding the dunes was awesome. People love Yamaha's new "go fast" as it was made for the sand. I'm one lucky dude!

Northwest Off Road Trainers is starting to book dates for 2016. So far, we're going to be in Chandler, AZ., Redmond, OR., Madison, WI., Winrock, TN and Moab, UT. This will keep us occupied through May but we still have a lot of open dates.

2015 was busy and very rewarding. We had the pleasure of working with folks in Stuttgart, Germany, Flagstaff, AZ., Hot Springs, VA., Gonzales, LA., Big Rapids, MI., Springfield, IL., Silver City, NM., Long Beach, CA, Yuma , AZ and Orlando, FL.

It doesn't really matter where we're at, it's the people that make the memories. The off road community is chock full of awesome people and we feel fortunate to be a small part of it!

We wish everyone a great year!

Yamaha YXZ1000R - Yamaha Dealer Reactions 09/04/2015

Northwest Off Road Trainers had a spectacular week in Long Beach California with Yamaha. We were there for the launch of the first of it's kind pure sport Side x Side. It features a 998cc, 3 cylinder, 5 speed manual sequential transmission. The power is unbelievable, the suspension cannot be beat and you feel like you're in a high end sportscar. The fit and finish has to be seen to believe. And best of all, we were in a select group who actually got to drive this rocket. Hitting multiple whoops at 68+ mph or catching air off of two table top hills was exhilerating to say the least. We are two very lucky people.

Yamaha YXZ1000R - Yamaha Dealer Reactions It's here, but we'll ask again: Are you ready? Yamaha dealers obviously enjoyed their first ride in the all-new .

Northwest Off Road Trainers recently spent a week with 6 members of the Gila National Forest's Wildfire Fire Fighting Supervisors. The area is a tremendous place to train and we're proud to announce we have 6 new Driver Coaches. They will train fellow firefighters and employees of the various districts that comprise the Gila National Forest.

Stay tuned as we travel to Southern California in early September for the launch of Yamaha's latest Side by Side. We can't wait to see it and we'll post pictures and specs on September 1st. so stay tuned!!!
