It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sis, our greatest warhorse.
After being in my life for more than 20 years, on Monday the 8th, we let her go to green pastures where the wild cheeseburgers grow. She was 34 pushing 35, mostly blind, and had been living with equine dementia for a while but finally looked better than she had in several years! Retirement tends to do that to us.
She was a steadfast old girl who was the first ride of MANY small children and horseback archers, and will be sorely missed-There have been MANY tears shed in the last couple days. We started the horseback archery journey together and while hers has ended with a whispered sigh, she gave myself and so many others the courage, skill, and motivation to continue on.

Despite all sorts of tribulations this year, we're still looking forward to being back "home" next weekend!

Another year at Shrewsbury Renaissance Faire is in the books!

Some changes are coming to Cascade but fear not, we're not going anywhere!
We as a group have been CMW for....gosh....5 years now? And those years have brought many changes that have brought on smiles and tears. And many, MANY broken arrows. With that being said, we would like some help choosing a new logo as we transition from Cascade Mounted Warriors to Long Shot Mounted Archery (LLC)

Thank you all who braved the heat and smoke to come out and play faire with us this year at Shrewsbury Renaissance Faire !! ❤️ We are a little banged up and bruised after the weekend but our hearts are so full!

A few of our club members were more than happy to join in and put together a quick demo followed by crash course archery lesson at a kids pony camp here in Bend at Magic Legacy Riding Academy !
We were thrilled to be invited and take up your afternoon dusting off cobwebs and bringing awareness to the sport! The youth are our future and seeing how excited they got made it all the better!
