Carris Reels is deeply saddened to announce the passing of our former CEO and ESOP founder, Bill Carris, on October 22 at the age of 81.

Bill’s leadership guided Carris Reels from a small Vermont-based company into an international leader in the wire and cable reel industry, serving the company for more than 50 years. He established the Employee Stock Ownership Plan, which continues to benefit every Carris employee-owner today, and founded charitable giving initiatives that have supported communities nationwide.

Texas has long been a valued part of the Carris Reels community, and we care deeply about the people and partners who call it home.

In response to the devastating July floods, Carris is donating $7,870 to the American Red Cross to help support their vital relief efforts across the region. The Red Cross is providing emergency shelter, food, and essential supplies to those affected, and we’re proud to contribute to their important work.
