Good afternoon! Please note that the new date for Decals with Dad is Monday, August 31, at 5:30 PM in the High School Cafeteria.

Although the event is called Decals with Dad, any family member is welcome to attend and help their football player put decals on his helmet. Dad, mom, grandparent, sibling, uncle, aunt, or another special family member—we would love to see you there!

This is a great opportunity to spend some quality time together and help get our boys ready for the season.

¡Buenas tardes! Les informamos que la nueva fecha para Calcomanías con Papá será el lunes 31 de agosto a las 5:30 p. m. en la cafetería de la escuela secundaria.

Aunque el evento se llama Calcomanías con Papá, cualquier miembro de la familia es bienvenido a asistir y ayudar a su jugador de fútbol a poner las calcomanías en su casco. Papá, mamá, abuelo/a, hermano/a, tío/a u otro familiar especial—¡nos encantaría contar con su presencia!

Esta es una gran oportunidad para pasar tiempo de calidad juntos y ayudar a preparar a nuestros muchachos para la temporada.

We would like to clarify that the BBQ fundraiser hosted by Progreso High School is the only fundraiser currently being hosted by Progreso Independent School District. This fundraiser is being held in support of the family of our student, Alexander Salazar, following his tragic loss.

We truly appreciate the compassion and community spirit surrounding the other fundraisers organized by outside groups. We are grateful to everyone who is coming together to support Alexander’s family and our school community during this difficult time.

However, please be aware that Progreso ISD is only hosting and participating in the Progreso High School BBQ fundraiser. Because the other fundraisers are organized independently by outside groups, the district cannot provide information, assistance, or support regarding those events.

For questions or information about an outside fundraiser, please contact the organization or individuals hosting that specific event directly.
Thank you to our students, staff, families, and community for coming together to support Alexander’s family. Your kindness and generosity are deeply appreciated.

Good evening,
Due to the current circumstances and after careful consideration, Friday’s football game has been canceled.

This decision was made with our football student-athletes in mind and with respect for what our students, families, and community are currently experiencing.

Our focus remains on supporting our student-athletes and giving them the time and space they need during this difficult time.

We appreciate everyone’s understanding, continued prayers, and support for our students and community.

Debido a las circunstancias actuales y tras una cuidadosa consideración, se ha cancelado el partido de fútbol americano del viernes.

Esta decisión se tomó pensando en nuestros estudiantes deportistas de fútbol americano y por respeto a la situación que atraviesan actualmente nuestros alumnos, sus familias y la comunidad.

Nuestro objetivo sigue siendo apoyar a nuestros estudiantes deportistas y brindarles el tiempo y el espacio que necesitan durante este momento difícil.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, our Decals with Dad event scheduled for Wednesday, August 26th has been POSTPONED until further notice.

We will share a new date and time as soon as they are available. Thank you to all of our dads, father figures, guardians, and families for your continued support of our Red Ant football players!
