I have to admit, I was a little scared when I saw the subject line saying "I used your knife as a pry bar..." pop up on my watch.

This Butler looks like it has been through a war and I love it.

While I cannot recommend knives be used like this. Its a testament to the toughness of 80CrV2 steel and the heat treatment. 🔥

This one features the full Buttonhook Halloween design large on the back, with a smaller version on the front left chest, printed on a Gildan 5000 Unisex Classic Tee.

🔥 Available September 12 through October 31 ONLY.
Once October is over, this design goes back in the vault.

IMPORTANT: These shirts are printed to order, so please allow 1–2 weeks for printing, fulfillment, and delivery. If you want yours in time to wear for Halloween, don’t wait until the end of October to order.

The remaining Basilones are getting their final bevels and false edges ground.

I also give a closer look at the Micarta handle scales, some new hardware I’m trying for the first time—and one machine that’s going to play an important role in what makes these five knives different. I’m keeping that part quiet a little longer. 👀

A few more blades to grind, then this batch moves on to the next stage.

And don’t forget: the limited-edition Buttonhook Halloween merch launches September 12 and will only be available through October 31. 🎃🔥

For me, it’s finish grinding the flats. There’s little room for error, but getting it right is what brings the whole blade together.

Right as I begin questioning my sanity in making my passion my livelihood. BLAM! A great weekend of knives purchases fuels my fire.

Thank you to those who bought yourself a Buttonhook Forge knife. I know your faith in my work will be rewarded with a knife that will serve you well on any adventure.

Those knives have been sharpened and will be on their way in the next day or two.

Which Mackie is right for you? 🔪

I took the Mackie and Mini Mackie out to the garden, grabbed a tomato and a few green peppers, and put both knives to work.

In this reel, I go over the differences between the two sizes, where each one shines, and how the finger hole provides a consistent grip and added blade control during detailed cutting.

The Mini Mackie offers compact carry and precise control, while the full-size Mackie gives you more cutting edge for larger jobs and food preparation.

The camera work is still a work in progress. The knives aren’t. 😂

Both are handcrafted from tough 80CrV2 high carbon steel, built by hand, and created for people who actually use their knives.
