Pilates Reformer workouts have taught me so much about the importance of muscular balances and proper engagement in both fitness and everyday life activities. When you dig into the details of this work, you discover most, if not all of us, have imbalances in how our body operates. If we have a tight hip or a sore knee, maybe an achy shoulder or hamstring, our bodies will naturally move away from engaging that side of our bodies, resulting in the opposite side working harder to compensate. Sore backs and tight necks affect our posture, which then changes the way we walk, run, jump, sit, and sleep, compounding the stressors we already experience from daily life.

Having someone there to help identify such issues, encourage greater balance in your movement patterns, and add challenge as you progress, allows your body to build strength the way it was designed to more efficiently and effectively, especially in your core muscles. Pilates truly has something for everyone! I still have private Apprentice sessions available at Re:Gen Pilates and would love to work with you or a family member anytime.
