What an incredible weekend at the Rhode Island Convention Center. From the packed aisles to the seminars, the kids casting area, and the countless conversations about fishing, conservation, and community — this show reminded us just how strong the saltwater fishing community is here in Southern New England.

To everyone who made this possible — our attendees, vendors, volunteers, speakers, partners, and supporters — thank you. Your passion for fishing and the ocean is what keeps this show growing year after year.

A special thank you to Don Coyne for once again covering the event and sharing the excitement with the fishing community.

New Fishing Show Day 3 recap 2026 Another successful show wraps up.

Did you make it to the New England Saltwater Fishing Show this weekend? 🎣

From the bottom of our hearts — thank you.

The show is far more than an event. It’s a community coming together around a shared passion for the ocean, fishing, conservation, and each other.

This weekend, thousands of attendees, vendors, and volunteers helped bring that spirit to life, and we are incredibly grateful to every person who walked through the doors and supported RISAA.

A sincere thank you to Representative Seth Magaziner for taking the time to visit the show and support our fishing community. Thank you as well to Tina and the team from RAMP real access motivates progress (RAMP) for helping ensure the event was welcoming and accessible for everyone.

We also want to recognize the dedicated staff at the Rhode Island Convention Center, who work tirelessly behind the scenes to help make events like this run smoothly.

Thank you to Don Coyne for reporting on the show and sharing the excitement with the broader fishing community.

And a very special thank you to RISAA Executive Director Scott Travers for his dedication and commitment to bringing the show together. Events like this take months of planning and countless hours of work, and his leadership helps make it all possible.

RISAA was founded in 1997 by Stephen J. Medeiros, a Vietnam Navy veteran and retired West Warwick Police Sergeant whose passion for fishing, conservation, and shoreline access helped build the organization into the strong voice it is today. The community we see gathered at the show each year is a reflection of the vision he started nearly three decades ago. Events like the New England Saltwater Fishing Show exist because of the foundation he built for anglers across Rhode Island and Southern New England.

As a nonprofit organization, every ticket purchased and every vendor supported helps advance RISAA’s mission, supporting conservation, public access, and the future of recreational saltwater fishing in Southern New England.

We care deeply about this organization and about continuing to improve the show each year. If you have feedback, ideas, or suggestions, please feel free to message us directly — we genuinely want to hear from you.

Most of all, thank you for being part of this community.

What was your favorite moment from the show this weekend?
Tell us in the comments and tag someone you shared the experience with.

We can’t wait to see everyone again next year. ⚓🐟

We proudly continue the mission that Stephen J. Medeiros began in 1997 — protecting our fisheries, our access, and the future of saltwater fishing for generations to come.
