What a sweet award for the kindest, most thoughtful kid with the biggest heart. Joyful and so much fun to spend time with!

The final week of high school for this boy began with a pretty amazing honor. It's hard to find words to express how proud I am of him and how unbelievably happy I am that I get to be his mom 💙

This is me & these are my people 💕
In 2017 I made a decision, which ultimately helped me find my way back to myself and to be here, fully present, for my people. In 2022, I wrote about it.

to.rise gave me and 21 other ordinary women who made a choice that altered the trajectory of their lives the opportunity to tell their stories...in writing stories there is healing, in sharing stories there is connection.

There's been a lot of self inquiry, reflection, acceptance and transformation over the past few years...sometimes you make a decision that quite literally saves your life, opening you up to so many opportunities you never thought possible. I'll be sharing a piece of my heart, my story about the day I decided in the .to.rise book project on May 21st and at the storytelling festival on June 11th.

Everyone has a story. Storytelling connects us in our humanity. Being present while another human being uses their voice to share a lived experience changes you...maybe by listening to one another we can increase our capacity for empathy, compassion, acceptance and kindness.

Grateful for moments that bring unexpected joys to your life...a breakfast with a friend led to a connection which brought me back to riding. I rode throughout my childhood and college. It is an interesting feeling when you reconnect with parts of your past, recognize how much you have changed and can see how those pieces blend with your current self. This certainly fits 💕
