My annual purchase from Rob Scott wood carver on McMillan Pier in Provincetown. Have a replica of Eddie’s orange dory, a flounder, a couple of small sea birds, etc etc. Didn’t have any whale oriented ones and I’m hoping this will fit on the wall right over the two oil paintings of my last two boats that Tom Watson did.

Emilio, the founder and steward of Nelson’s Bait and Tackle in Provincetown, at a time when striper and blue surf fishing at Race Pt beach and others were what some described as epic. He created a space for hard core surf casters to gather, trade tales, buy bait and respool their reels. Normally a winter job, but this reel, which I really like, was in need of some TLC. First time I did this model, but once I got inside it was basically like every other Penn conventional reel. Some grit, some dirt, bits of rust here and there, but nothing major and no parts needed, so that was good. Good patience builder for an impatient person.
