if you know me, you know I highly value my time + health. on my journey, I always ask individuals what they value most in this life and more often than not, it’s the same. TIME + HEALTH. quit playing with your health and investing in fast food, lulu joggers and leggings that don’t fit, movie tickets, sports jerseys, alcohol, streaming services, expensive dates who don’t like you and make the best investment in yourself. not even here, but just treat yourself dopely and invest in your health. i promise the returns will be immense.

Homie, why wait to become the best version of yourself? Two and a half years ago, I hit one of my many rock bottoms. I had undergone my third ACL surgery, fourth knee surgery, was depressed, rarely left my room and was luckily three months clean off hard drugs. I was lost, until I decided to prioritize my physical and mental health and found group fitness. Since then, I have learned that my health and time have become the two most important aspects of my life, and that's why I founded my gym, Mental - a health collective which keeps those priorities in mind. “The best 1-hour workout for your body + mind.”

At Mental, we focus on building a healthy lifestyle that caters to both physical and mental health. In this class lead fitness, all you have to do is show up consistently, and you will never regret your decision to move and improve.

I hate sales, but here's my pitch: May is mental health awareness month, and to celebrate, I am offering a special deal of $50 per month for unlimited classes.
Quit playing around with your only life and INVEST IN YOURSELF. I'm not here to hate, but investing in a pair of Jordans, or your weekly fast-food expenditure, expensive clothes that don’t fit, or spending a bundle on alcohol won't bring you the same satisfaction as investing in yourself. Trust me, I have been there too many times to count, but my investment in myself has had the greatest return I could imagine, and I want to help you achieve the same. If you invest 6 months of your life, $300 value, manage your eating habits (which we offer) and take 3-4 classes a week which equates to 5 hours a week with drive time, you will be in the best physical and mental shape of your life.

If you have made it this far in the description, I appreciate you. Even if you don’t invest here, just please invest in yourself. Become a warrior in a garden, and not a gardener in a war. If you commit to 3-4 classes a week at the schedule above, I promise you will improve your physical and mental health. The returns will be immense. Try a week for free and see what you think. Sign up for a class with the link in our bio - no credit card needed to start. All you have to do is show up to change your life.

sup, my name is matthew kurtz. my passion in life is to help individuals find their own passion in life. I was born and raised in las vegas, nv but am now considered a utah local. I played multiple sports growing up through high school, but decided to stick with soccer and was ultimately lucky enough to be recruited to play college soccer at byu. after my long stint with the cougars, I continued my playing career to play professionally and coach a youth academy in australia. to keep it simple, my life has had some obstacles. in my career, I’ve battled drug addiction, depression, 3 acl tears, and a plethora of other mental and physical issues, but don’t get me wrong, those opportunities made me who I am today and why I do what I do. reflecting back during those difficult experiences, I have come to realize my mentality was so fickle and I hated who i was. i was caught in a debilitating cycle of shame without the ability to even see my potential. i don’t want to see that happen to anyone else, especially our youth. I quickly discovered that my passion lies with helping others become the best version of themselves in any capacity.

with all of that said, i am here to help individuals reach their mental and physical potentials and to end the stigma against mental health.
