Over the course of this season, you’ll hear us use some pretty consistent verbiage. We will talk about the Standard, the Brand, the pursuit of Excellence. But it all comes down to one thing: love.

Our goal is to find things in this life that get us excited to serve others before ourselves, cultivate our community and to carry out every day caring more about the success of the guys standing next to you more than your own.

These coaches pour into the guys who then pour into each other and the energy becomes contagious. As this team begins to shape their buy in, the reality becomes the undeniable fact that the higher number on the scoreboard is simply a byproduct of the love they share with each other.

We acknowledge that we are only guaranteed so many “tonight’s” this season. 10 to be exact. 10 chances to compete. 10 chances to ride for the Southside. 10 chances to go to battle with our brothers. Our focus is on the here and now and never the tomorrows or what could have beens.

We invite you all to join us this season. You are welcome, you belong, and we are so happy you’re here. From the Pride of C**t Nation marching band, color guard and the choir, to the cheerleaders and the Pepperettes, to the parents, families and loved ones, the support staff and the incredible C**t Nation student section, and everyone in between, we could not do this without you and we look forward to seeing you all season long.

Join us for the Foundation Game scrimmage tomorrow vs. Pueblo Centennial. As a reminder, there will be no passes accepted as this is a fundraiser for both teams. We look forward to seeing you there!

𝐖𝐄’𝐑𝐄 𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄.

Join us this Friday as we partake in a Foundation Game football fundraiser scrimmage against Pueblo Centennial. Money from the entry fee of the Foundation Game will go directly to our respective programs and schools.

The first half will feature both team’s varsity level and the second half will feature the junior varsity level players.

We hope to see you there and appreciate your support of Pueblo South Football!

We are officially back for the 2026 season and we wanted to take the time to re-establish the standards of our program.

Intentionality is the forefront of our quest for success. That success is not defined by the numbers, individual accolades or trophies; those things are simply the byproduct of The Brand, its consistency, and the willingness to adhere to its proven methods and standards.

Simply put: the only way to find the success you desire is through the collective effort of The Brand, not an individual journey.

𝐖𝐄 𝐆𝐎𝐓 𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐆𝐔𝐘.

We are extremely excited to announce the hiring of our new head coach, Mr. Major Willette.

Originally from Ogden, Utah, and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, Coach Willette played collegiate basketball at Phoenix College before finishing his playing career and earning his degree at CSU-Pueblo.

Over the past five years, Coach Willette has coached with the Steel City Stars girls travel basketball program, led numerous youth recreation league teams, and founded UPTOP Training, where he has helped athletes of all ages develop their skills, confidence, and work ethic.

Coach Willette is committed to building a program founded on accountability, discipline, toughness, and family while helping our student-athletes grow as leaders both on and off the court.

We are excited to welcome Coach Willette to the South High family and can’t wait for the future of South Girls Basketball!
