This island isn’t for vacation.

Pueblo South junior Desmond Burton came up with a Sportcenter-worthy one-handed interception last night. This was his first of two INTs against Central in a 44-0 route over the Wildcats.

π…πˆππ€π‹.

The goal was to focus on our attention to detail, focus on each other, on our brothers and the result was a seven touchdown shutout against Central.

Hard to to pick any one singular performance in this one. MJ Molina was masterful. Julio Araujo-Espinosa ran hard. Landen Cordova, Israel Allen, Brandon Norris, Maverick Hurley found the house a time or two. The defense was FLYING around. And yet, we’re still dirt.

We are going to enjoy this one with our brothers, take in those special moments and prepare for a big one next week. Excited to continue to work toward playing our best ball.

Extended stats on MaxPreps at a later date.

𝐁𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐃 ππ‘πŽπ“π„π‚π“πŽπ‘π’.

Our brand values are simple: Protect, Build, Earn, Finish.

Every week, we will select four members of our team to represent us before kickoff. These four guys will be selected based on who our staff feels best exemplified our Brand Values during the week.

It is an honor and a privilege to be selected as a captain. It shows the result of protecting the brand, representing something bigger than yourself, having high character, being highly competitive and displaying an excellent work ethic.

Our goal is to push each other. Our goal is to make each other better. But above all, our goal is to leave The Brand better than we found it.

We present to you, your Week Six Brand Protectors: Israel Allen, Roger Krummel, Jorge Araujo-Espinosa and Mason Lane.
