25 Years of OHF: A Journey of Gratitude and Growth
Twenty-five years ago, I stepped through the doors of Ontario Health and Fitness Center (OHF) on September 6th, 2001, with no idea of the incredible impact this fitness center, its members, employees, and the community would have on my life.
Over the past two and a half decades, I’ve witnessed OHF through all of life’s highs and lows. From my daughters’ growth and achievements, including their high school and college graduations, to my own personal battles with cancer, surgeries, and Jenna’s recent struggles with Guillain Barré Syndrome, OHF has been a constant source of support and love. The recent joy of Quincey’s wedding and the anticipation of a new baby on the way have only added to the blessings I’ve experienced throughout my time here.
Every day, I’m privileged to interact with a diverse group of individuals who come through our doors. Over the past 25 years, I’ve had the privilege of training hundreds of people, ranging from 13 to 88 years old. Each and every one of you has been a valuable part of my journey, and I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work with you!
There’s nothing quite like spending time with a client, helping them to overcome health concerns and improve their fitness. Many of my clients have become dear friends over the years, and I will forever cherish the connections we’ve built.
Life can be unpredictable, but one constant for me has been the sense of connection, family, and support that I’ve found at OHF. I’m so grateful for the community as a whole, and to OHF especially for making these past 25 years so fulfilling and rewarding. I’m so looking forward to many more years of friendships, fun, and fitness together!
