4-17 Southern Speedway and Events

By now, most of you are aware things are not turning out as we had hoped. Until Monday of this week, Joe and I were hopeful that some sort of an agreement could have been reached with the new lease holders and 4-17 Southern Speedway. In an unfortunate turn of events - that hope and desire came to a screeching halt. The plans of the new lease holder have changed completely. Those plans no longer include stock car racing. We are saddened by these turn of events. However- this is a goodbye for now, not for forever. We do have offers from 3 other facilities to move 4-17. Due to personal obligations, we will be weighing our options and deciding what is the best decision for our family. We would like to personally thank each and every fan, driver, and crew member that has become a part of the 4-17SSE family. YOU made these 6 years so incredibly amazing. We will be posting all items for sale. If you are interested in any of the items available- please contact Joe directly. We do ask that each of you continue to support your local stock car racing venue. Updates regarding points payout, items for sale, and a final farewell will be posted on Facebook. This is only a goodbye for now- not for forever.

Wishing each of you a very safe, prosperous, and Happy New Year. There is nothing new to report at this time regarding the track. We are hoping to meet with the new lease holders this week or next. If we are able to come to an agreement, the 2023 season schedule will be put together immediately. Maybe I will even get it ready while we are waiting, in a hopeful optimistic fashion :) In any event - Joe and I thank you for your continued support. While waiting on news regarding 4-17...please support other tracks that are having events. We appreciate and love you all!! Happy New Year!!

As the 2022 season is ending, we would like to wish each of you a very Merry Christmas and Holiday season. As of now, we do not have any new information to report regarding the track, the 2023 season, or plans going forward. We remain hopeful that 4-17 Southern Speedway will return for the 2023 season, and many more seasons to come. Please check back often for updates and new information. Grandstands open 4pm
Qualifying & Heats begin 6pm
Features begin 7pm.

4-17 Southern Speedway is a family friendly venue where everybody is always welcome. Located 8655 Piper Rd, Punta Gorda, Fl 33982 ~ just across from the PG airport~ off I-75 between exits 161 & 164. We are a cash only venue - an ATM will be on the premises the day of the event.

Please no outside food or beverages. No pets, weapons of any type, drones, or fireworks are allowed on the property per FAA regulations. Join us Saturday Nights Under the Lights at the Fastest Short Track is SW Florida!
