This is a fish your own FLA waters, half-day tournament series designed to keep you competing all summer long without the long road trips. 🐟

This year we are keeping it Florida waters only. Why? Because that’s what YOU asked for. If participation doesn’t go as planned, we’ll reevaluate next year whether we continue the Summer Series or open it back up outside of Florida.

The three tournament dates are set, and just like last year, we’ll crown an Overall summer Champion for boats and kayaks based on points earned throughout the series where $20 from every summer membership will go directly into the overall championship pot for both divisions.

For the 2027 season, boat team entry fees will increase but so will the payouts 💰
With a guaranteed minimum $10,000 first place payout, things are about to get even more competitive. 🎣
In 2026 our average boat count was 73!

Side pots for boats will remain the same.

Kayakers, your entry fee will stay the same since that seems to be the sweet spot for the majority of competitors. However, the optional side pot will be increased by $25, giving you even bigger optional opportunities to cash in. Big Red will also remain included in every kayak entry fee.

Our 2026 season is officially complete and the 2027 season is in the works!

Next year, we’re rewarding consistency all season long.

For 2027, we’ll be paying out:
• 1st–3rd Team of the Year
• 1st–3rd Angler of the Year

We’re one of the few trails that reward Team of the Year/Angler of the Year, giving more competitors a chance to be recognized and rewarded for their season long performance.

Season membership will be $100, with 40% from every membership going directly into the points jackpot that will reward the top three in both divisions at the end of the season.

Our shorter season format makes it possible for more anglers to stay competitive all year long, and with three payout spots instead of one, your chances are even better.

Whether you’re chasing Team of the Year, Angler of the Year, or just looking to compete with one of the fastest growing trails around, 2027 will be here before you know it!

This payout is based off 500 members- last year we had 467 of which 15% were kayakers and 85% were boats.

The original “no tower boats” rule we had planned to put in place for the start of the 2027 season has officially been reversed.

At the end of the day, the boat itself isn’t the issue it’s the person behind the wheel that determines how an area is treated. Because of that, not everyone with a tower boat should be punished.
Tower boats will be allowed going forward in the 2027 season.

However, this will come with strict burning rules that will be heavily enforced. Protecting the fisheries and areas we visit will always remain a priority, and we will not tolerate reckless operation or damage to any waters.

While a more broad, detailed explanation will be included in the 2027 rules, in a nutshell:

♦️First Offense♦️
Immediate disqualification from the upcoming tournament.
Suspension from the next scheduled FRS, NRL, or RWC qualifying event in which the angler or team would otherwise be eligible to compete.
Loss of any entry fees associated with the disqualified event.

♦️Second Offense♦️
Immediate disqualification from the upcoming tournament.
One (1) year suspension from all Florida Redfish Series (FRS), National Redfish League (NRL), and Redfish World Championship (RWC) events.
Ineligibility to earn points, qualifications, invitations, contingency awards, or championship berths during the suspension period.
Loss of any entry fees associated with the disqualified event.

♦️Third Offense♦️
Immediate disqualification from the tournament.
Permanent lifetime ban from participation in any Florida Redfish Series (FRS), National Redfish League (NRL), and Redfish World Championship (RWC) event, including all future tournaments, championships, invitationals, and affiliated competitions.
Permanent forfeiture of all eligibility for qualifications, invitations, points races, awards, and championship participation.
Loss of any entry fees associated with the disqualified event.

Disqualifications for said offense will be publicly disclosed.

One thing about the Florida Redfish Series is not only do we have some hardcore competitors, but we’re also welcoming to anglers whether new or seasoned.

We can’t tell you how many times we’ve heard from anglers about how welcomed they felt, how many friendships they’ve made, and how comfortable they felt joining our series.

Anyone can run a tournament, but running a well polished one that anglers genuinely enjoy being a part of is a different story. That may not be what every trail strives for, but it’s something we’re extremely proud of. Because at the end of the day, it’s way more than just competitive fishing and you’re not just a number. The anglers can attest to that.

We’ve been asked to do a Louisiana Down South Lures Summer Series division.

Same dates. Same format. Same style of competition. Boat and kayak.

If we can get at least 15 teams signed up, we’ll make it happen.

As a reminder, the Summer Series is completely separate from our normal regular season series. This is a fun, half-day, fish your own waters format designed to keep people fishing through the summer without the added travel expenses.

• age 15 and younger fish free and count as a number on the boat
• 1st–3rd place payouts for all three dates
• 1st place each event will receive a plaque 🏆
• End of summer payout for the highest ranked team based on points.
• End of summer payout amount will depend on total overall summer membership.
