s/v Penny Bet is a 1999 Seawind 1000 catamaran. She is 34 ft long, 19.5 beam. 1999 Seawind 1000 catamaran.
It has been our dream to live in a water paradise such as Florida and buy a catamaran so we can go sailing and exploring. I served my 20 years in the US Navy and Richard Gullen sailed/raced monohulls on Lake Michigan for close to 30 years.

Talk about spoiling your boat. Made Penny a new bimini/dodger. Once she gets her bath this weekend, we will put the new bimini in place. Waiting for my new snap setter to arrive so I can fit the shade panels. The new bimini is much better since I did not have to put any seams in it, used one piece of Sunbrella.
The boat is all loaded and ready to go. Skippy and I are headed out to the Harbor shortly. Sailing across the harbor to make our way to the Myakka river. We plan on anchoring near the El Jobean bridge. Do some activities with the members from the PG Sailing club. Spend the night and then come on home. Today's weather is SSE winds of 8 mph. Temp 88. Should be a beautiful day to be on the water.

Getting excited about the boat parade in Punta Gorda on Saturday 22 Dec. Captain attended the meeting tonight, looking snazzy in his embroidered polo shirt. Got our boat number signs to hang on the boat.

Getting her all cleaned up for the Annual Christmas boat parade here in Punta Gorda. We have our decorating idea, have to pick up more led lights and then start decorating Penny. Bought a yamaha generator to run the lights. So excited to be participating.
