We lost a great light in the yoga world this week 🕊️💚🙏🏼

We had the pleasure of hosting Bobby Clennell many years ago at The Yoga Sanctuary. She wrote books about yoga and women’s health, and was a long time student of B.K.S. Iyengar. She will be missed! 💚🙏🏼💚

The red flower most commonly seen on Memorial Day is a Red Poppy, and is worn to honor the brave service members who have lost their lives defending our country. In yoga silence is welcomed, but on Memorial Day it may be deafening. A reminder of the absence of someone we love. So today, as your close your eyes and slip into Savasana take a moment to honor our fallen and the courage shown by all our service members. Remember & Honor. 💚🙏💚

It's our BIRTHDAY!! 🎉🎈🎊

The Yoga Sanctuary turns 19 today - 19 years of building community, sharing the beauty of yoga, and inspiring thousands of students. Our journey started just down the street in 2007, and our beautiful 100 (actually more than that) year old building has been our permanent home since 2011. We've seen generations of students, teachers and community members pass through our doors, and will remain a fixture in downtown Punta Gorda for years to come!

We could not be where we are without the support of our sangha. TYS's mission of sharing the magic of yoga with our community continues to be at the heart of what we do inside and outside our studio. So happy birthday to TYS! 19 years and counting of sending yoga out into the world. 💚🙏💚
