Miss Code West scored her 15th career victory on Friday in the Shawn Bergquist Memorial Stakes named after horsemen and stall superintendent for Re*****on Park, who passed away last year. It was a fitting way to honor this man, with a consistent champion like Miss Code West! Congratulations to her connections including Breeder Bryan Hawk who owns the stallion, Code West and her dam, Inca Miss. Miss Code West was the heavy favorite in a full field of 11 on the turf. She is trained by Kevin Scholl and owned by Jeffry & Julie Puryear. Miss Code West’s regular rider Floyd Wethey, Jr, was along for the ride!
