The Dance Extension was founded by Artistic Director, Maggie Dennis, in 1984, on the belief in the value of arts education specifically through dance. We are committed to integrating the tradition, discipline and creativity of dance education in an age-appropriate curriculum, and providing a well-rounded, exciting program for students of all ages 2-adult! The school nurtures students; assists them in achieving their goals; and provides them with opportunities to pursue their dreams.

Today we celebrate more than movement - we celebrate confidence, creativity, connection, joy and community. Whether your dancer is just beginning or has been dancing for years, we are honored to be part of their journey.

Yesterday was the last first day of dance! There’s something special about the beginning of a new season. You walk through the doors not quite knowing what the year will bring — and before you know it, you’re learning, growing, laughing, creating, and becoming part of something bigger than a class.

We’re so happy to have our TDE family back in the studio! The best is yet to come. ✨

Look at them already spreading their wings! They were absolutely AMAZING—so much enthusiasm, imagination, and joy in one little class. We can’t wait to watch these little dancers grow, learn, and shine all season long!
