Three numbers. One pattern I check for constantly.
High LDL. High triglycerides. Low vitamin D.
I see this combination in client labs more than people realize, and most of them have been told to ‘watch their diet’ for years with no real answer.
Here’s what the research says: H. pylori infection has been linked in multiple studies to elevated LDL and triglycerides, and lower HDL.
Triglycerides is the marker that holds up most consistently across studies. It’s not proof of infection on its own — it’s a reason to test rather than guess.
This is the whole philosophy behind how I read labs. Guessing costs you years. Testing gives you an answer.

I sat in one appointment. Got a prescription for T4 only. That was the plan for Hashimoto’s.
T4 is the inactive form of thyroid hormone.
Your body has to convert it into T3, the active form your cells actually use. Nobody explained that distinction to me.
A full thyroid panel was never run to see if that conversion was even happening.
Medication was never going to be the whole answer on its own.
I’ve been on desiccated thyroid for over 15 years, but that’s one layer in a much bigger picture.
My first HTMA showed selenium, zinc, iodine, and magnesium all depleted. The minerals my thyroid needed to actually function at the cellular level.
Gluten and dairy came out.
My nervous system needed regulating, not just my hormones.
The foundation came first. A GLP-1 came later, to help keep the inflammation down further.
No single prescription changes an autoimmune condition. It’s the layers underneath it that do.
DM FOUNDATION for the mineral guide.
Losing hair on a weight loss peptide isn’t random. Here are the 5 truths behind it:
1. It’s not the medication. It’s what the medication does to your intake. Rapid appetite suppression means rapid nutrient suppression.
2. Hair is a low-priority tissue. Your body rations minerals to organs first, and hair shows the shortage first.
3. Normal bloodwork doesn’t mean normal mineral status. Serum labs don’t measure what’s stored in your tissue.
4. This runs on the same mechanism as postpartum hair loss. Your body reallocating resources under stress.
5. You don’t have to choose between your results and your hair. You have to rebuild the foundation underneath it.
The Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis Test (HTMA) measures the mineral levels actually stored inside your hair tissue over the past 3 months, plus the ratios between them, like zinc to copper and calcium to potassium. Those ratios are what drive hair growth cycles, not just whether a single mineral is “low” or “normal.”
The 3x4 Genetics Blueprint Test shows how your body absorbs, converts, and retains those minerals in the first place. Two women on the same peptide, same dose, can lose hair at completely different rates because their genes handle nutrient processing differently.
Ran together, they show you exactly why the hair loss is happening instead of leaving you guessing.
Keep following me here for all the tips on how to prevent hair loss and support weight loss.
P.S. I’m 45. My hair has never looked better. I’ve used weight loss peptides for years.
Katelyn and I go back — teaching together on the mat in Hingham, three years ago.
This spring she trusted me with something bigger.
Her HTMA showed elevated copper. And copper has a direct working relationship with iron at the mineral level, which is what told me we needed a full iron panel.
That’s what led somewhere neither of us expected. No peptides. No shortcuts. Just the foundation, done right. Full story above.

If your heart starts pounding while you’re sitting still and nothing is wrong, here’s why.
Potassium sets the resting electrical charge across every nerve and heart cell you have.
When it runs low, those cells sit closer to their firing threshold — so your heart races, your muscles cramp, your hands shake, and you feel wired for no reason you can name.
Chronic stress makes this worse in a very direct way. Sustained stress raises aldosterone, and aldosterone tells your kidneys to excrete potassium. The more stress you’re under, the more of it you lose. Then the loss makes you feel more anxious, which raises the stress again.
Most people are not close to the recommended intake. Adequate intake sits around 2,600 mg a day for women, and modern eating patterns land most of us well below that while pushing sodium high.
The ratio matters as much as the number.
And here’s the part that keeps women stuck.
Your body defends serum potassium hard, because the number has to stay in range for your heart to keep working.
So the value on your standard panel can look completely fine while what’s inside your cells tells a different story.
That’s why so many women hear “everything looks normal” and still feel like their body is running hot.
Your nervous system needs the raw materials to settle. No amount of breathwork replaces a mineral your cells don’t have.

You can do everything right before bed and still lie there wide awake.
Blackout curtains. No screens. Magnesium spray on your feet. And your brain still won’t shut off.
Here’s what most sleep advice skips: your nervous system needs a specific mineral to physically shift out of alert mode.
Without it, the “off switch” doesn’t have anything to flip.
Magnesium gets burned through fast.
Stress, caffeine, alcohol, sugar all pull from the same reserve.
Most of the women and men I test are already running on empty before we even start talking about sleep hygiene.
You don’t need another routine.
You need to know where your minerals actually stand.
DM me: “HTMA” ⬇️ and I’ll walk you through how it works.
Hair is a low-priority tissue.
When your body doesn’t have enough minerals to run everything, it triages. Heart, brain, and hormones.
Those get first access.
Hair growth gets cut off first, because you can survive without it.
That’s why the timing never seems to match what people tell you.
You didn’t just “get older.”
You gave birth eight months ago and your body spent everything it had building another human.
You didn’t just “hit 40.” Your mineral stores had been quietly declining for years before your cycle ever changed.
And if you’ve been on a GLP, rapid fat loss and lower food intake can pull through mineral reserves faster than your body can replace them. The shedding isn’t a random side effect, it’s the same depletion mechanism showing up faster.
Everyone reaches for biotin. Biotin is one input into one enzyme. It’s not the cascade.
Hair growth actually depends on a chain of minerals working together like zinc for follicle repair, copper for pigment and structure, iron for oxygen delivery to the follicle, magnesium for the enzymatic reactions that drive growth phase.
If one link is missing, the others can’t compensate, and biotin alone can’t cover the gap.
A Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis test HTMA shows what your tissues have actually been storing and burning through over months, not a single blood draw.
That mineral pattern, and what it means for your specific case, is exactly what shows up when I run yours.

My client Emily was lying in a pitch black bedroom wearing sunglasses just to tolerate the light. Missing time with her son. Taking Tylenol around the clock. Drinking soda just to get through the day.
She had seen her neurologist. Tried every medication. Botox was her last resort.
Nobody had asked about her gut. Nobody had connected six rounds of SIBO to what was happening in her brain.
When she called me we ran everything — and what we found changed everything.
Her minerals were so depleted her first two formulas had to be tween formulas.
Today she is back at work. Playing with her son. Working out. Living her life.
Migraines are gone.
This is what it looks like when you find the foundation first.
Follow along Taimi Lawlor | Health Coach & Yoga Teacher for more because this is just one story of many.
For years I assumed the crash was normal.
I was doing everything “right.”
Eight hours of sleep when I could get it, a decent diet, all the productivity hacks. And still, every single day around 2pm, I hit a wall that no amount of coffee could push through.
I kept treating it like a willpower problem.
It was never a willpower problem.
When I finally tested instead of guessed, I found two specific things running low that had nothing to do with sleep or discipline and everything to do with why my energy was disappearing at the exact same time every day.
Once I addressed those two things, the 2pm wall stopped showing up.
Curious what they were?
DM FOUNDATION and I’ll walk you through it.
You’ve seen it happen.
Two people start the same weight loss peptide, same dose, same protocol.
One sees the scale move almost overnight.
The other does everything right and nothing changes.
It’s easy to assume the peptide failed. It didn’t.
She skipped a step.
Peptides don’t work in a vacuum. They bind to a receptor on your cell and wait for that cell to respond. Whether it responds depends on what’s happening underneath — genetics and mineral status, things nobody checked before the peptide was prescribed. Same dose does not mean same starting point.
The solution:
Test before you assume the peptide failed.
This is why I run 3x4 Genetic Blueprint testing and HTMA — Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis — before anyone moves into peptide education with me.
Genetics shows me how your body is wired to process and respond.
HTMA shows me what your cells are short on right now.
Together, they tell me what will and won’t work for you specifically, instead of guessing.
The pattern I see over and over:
The clients whose peptides “weren’t working” almost always had an underlying genetic or mineral picture nobody had looked at.
Once we knew what we were working with, their bodies finally responded the way they expected from day one.
Foundation first. Optimization second.
