Mediocre Golf Association Fayetteville, NC Chapter

It was a great day for golf. Thanks to Trashcan everyone got to play from the gold tee, thus scores impoved. We welcomed a new member and Matt got hit with a golf ball. Never a dull moment with this crowd.

Another fine day of golf. There were a lot of ties this weekend. A tie for 4th and 6th place as well as a tie for the Meltdown Award. This was also the first Tourney we implemented the Handicap Award. Congrats Doug, we all knew you were "special".

The season opener went off rather well, firstly no one was late. We would like to welcome two new members; Phil Oldashi and Damien Heiret. This was the only tournament of the season where we paired the best and worst of our players for the tournament win. This must have busted a vessel in Thom's head trying to figure this one out. All in all a great day on the course.

Another mediocre day on the course. The third straight tournement with rain. I wonder how we would play if we, our equipment and the course were dry

In his first MGA tournament, Mike "Trash Can" Neuman (104) forsook courtesies generally extended to new acquaintances. Instead, he chose to annihilate the field after initial introductions. In spite of a 2 beer rain delay on the 17th tee, Trash Can continued to take advantage of lucky (oh so lucky) carroms from the pines that redirected errant shots to the center of the fairway. Neuman, who also took home the Gross Award with a 100, was unapologetic and was overheard laughing under his breath at the swings of other Medios. And he won closest to the pin with what was probably a 170 yard gap wedge, because of course he did.
