This Ironclad Legendary Challenge was, to say the least, a challenge. From date changes, to last-minute sponsor drops, to 18 skaters and 3 goalies battling it out over 100 minutes of play—it was a grind from start to finish.

That said, we’re proud to have pushed through and are grateful for everyone who showed up and made it happen. Huge thank you to all participants and players, to Wade Minter on the mic, and to our refs Howie and Fred—aka “Santa”! And a special thank you to the Carolina Hurricanes for hosting this event at the Lenovo Center.

As many of you know, Jamie Hills broke his foot in a recent game and had to undergo surgery to have a rod put in. What should have been just another night on the ice has now turned into a long recovery.

Jamie works in construction — which means if he can’t be on his feet, he can’t work. And right now, he’s facing months of recovery.

Most importantly, Jamie is supporting a family of five who depend on him every single day. Bills don’t stop. Groceries don’t stop. Life doesn’t stop.

If you’ve ever shared the ice with him, battled in the corners, or know the kind of guy he is — now is the time to step up for him.

One of our longtime members, Christian, has experienced an unimaginable loss—his entire family was tragically taken from him.
