2024 Race Season Recap:

Although I only managed to race one track this year due to being a Senior in high school, I would say it was a very eventful year. Picked up a lot of speed from the year prior and gained a lot of knowledge with our new team 510 Racing.

I managed to pick up a few too 5’s and multiple top 10’s. Had a few altercations on the track and a few wrecks as well as a nasty flip. Despite the challenges, the experience I gained throughout the year was invaluable. I learned a lot more about legends each week and the importance of teamwork.

I finished top 7 in points at Wake County Speedway and my brother won the championship.

The support from my team and family and the lessons I learned from each race helped me improve as a driver. I am looking forward to applying all these experiences next year and aiming to have even better results next season.

RECAP:

I was able to race this past friday at Wake County Speedway. Struggled a little in early practice due to the heat and humidity making the track super hot and not having lots of grip.

Went out for practice and fell into 11th and ended up qualifying 8th. Knowing I had a lot of work to do to keep up in the front but patience was key with having 27 cars start.

Starting the race took many tries but after we got going we gained a few spots and lost a few. With the amount of experience all the other racers have, I knew I had to stay aggressive and keep my nose clean which allowed me to pull off a 4th place finish.

This is my first top 5 since moving up from bandos and I’m thrilled. Thankful to a part of 510 Racing and having Todd McCollum mentor me every week to be better.

Onto next week!

Participated in the season opener and the second race of the season at Wake County Speedway these past two weeks.

Racing with some of the best competitors got the best of me week one. Qualified 16th out of 33 cars with a 13.603 which is 4 tenths faster than last year but got my night ended early on lap one.

My car ended up being better than before this past night. Struggled a little in practice trying to pick up some speed with a little confidence barrier from the week prior. Go out to qualify and pull out a 13.471 which put me in THIRD! Ended up getting spun out and sent to the back a couple laps in but drove up to seventh and was still the third fastest car.

Cannot thank 510 Racing enough for the amount of work put into this car her past couple weeks and helping me overcome obstacles.

Onto the next!

Racing at the Summer Shootout is probably one of the most eye opening experiences any driver can possibly have.

I raced round 10 Tuesday night and the outcome was not the best.
Qualified 32nd out of 36 which was my worst run ever after having run my best times the day before. This put me starting 10th in the b-main and only 2 cars transferred which meant we had a lot of work to do.

B-Main: Got up to 8th and got spun out from a car who didn’t like me using my bumper to them so to the back I went. Same car spun me out when the green flag dropped. Got into another wreck and was on top of another cars rear end in the air. I thought my night was over. Able to pass multiple cars and got up to 6th with the last caution and 2nd-5th all wrecked in front of me and I got locked into the second race.

A-Main: Started last and made my way up pretty far and everyone’s aggression got to the best of them and I got used as brakes and t-boned which broke my rear end and ended my night on lap 13.

The racing at charlotte shows you that anything can happen in the blink of an eye and to always look forward.

We do have a surprise of where I will be racing next but also lookout at Wake County Speedway, Florence Motor Speedway too!!

Haven’t posted much lately about the shootout but oh how eventful it is to race semi pros at the Cookout Summer Shootout.

Learning how to be as fast as these kids with no experience is hard. I’ve maintained a whole car except a radiator on round 5 but the car has been in one piece. Being moved around with the most experienced competitors in the country has been a challenge but worth the end result.

Taking a couple weeks off to enjoy myself and going to be back at around 10 and maybe a few local tracks later!!

Round 1 of my first Cookout Summer Shootout in the legend was completed last night!

In practice, I was able to maintain the 12th-14th. When qualifying came around, I dropped to 27th being 2 tenths slower due to the water being thrown on the track from rain previously before qualifying which meant… B-main.

Started third in the B-main and finished third and was able to start the field 27th out of 28 cars which is better starting last than mid pack. Made my way up to 15th and finished 19th.

We won’t be back today due to how the race was going but we will be racing next week!

Thank you to AK Performance, Josh Speas and Ryan Mackintosh for helping with my car all day!

Raced doubles last night at Wake County Speedway. I picked up a ton of speed from thursday private practice to qualifying yesterday!

Race 1:
Qualified 14th out of 22 with a 13.9. I managed to get really good restarts and chose very well on the restarts and managed to end up in about the 7th spot. About lap 15 or so, I got a little excited and spun coming off of turn bc two and backed into the wall but kept going! Spun out again a couple laps later letting a faster car by and lost grip and the car came out right underneath me. The restart was a green white checkered but coming to the checkered, someone came down on me, and we barely made it to the checkered but still finished!!

Race 2:
Started how we finished the first race. We had one caution and after that it was a caution free race, ending in 11th .

Very acceptable with my driving abilities and being able to race with people I have never raced with before and also people that have years worth of experience! We will be back next week!

Thank you to AK Performance for the help and Ryan Mackintosh for fixin my car up for the second race!

Not the way we expected Wake County Speedway to go.

Picked up about 6 tenths from the first time i went out to qualifying and making more improvements each time on track.

Speed wasn’t in our favor and qualified p18 out of 27 cars into the A-main for it only being my third real time on track. On around lap 7, about a 10 car pile up happened with no where to go and killed the radiator.

Thankful for it only being the radiator but not the way we wanted to end the night. We will possibly be back at a later date to keep improving.

Survived my first Wake County Speedway race in the legend! Was picking up speed and improving throughout the day. Had the nervous jitters so we ended up qualifying 15th out of a 24 car field. Had great restarts and finally finished about 12th in the end. A whole race car is the best part of finishing and really bringing my confidence up. Ready to be back!
