I hated to turn this interview down, but happy Carson Haislip Racing was able to step in and give a great interview as he got to experience the softer side of Kyle. The devoted dad. The dad who treated us like family at our home track.

I’ve been down for the count since Friday evening. Haven’t left my room in a few days. I’m hoping things start to turn around quickly.

3 years ago, my teammate Carson Haislip Racing and I had the opportunity to interview Kyle Busch. There are truly two sides to Kyle. The fierce competitor that people either loved or hated on the track, and the dad and family man we were lucky enough to see week after week at Wake County Speedway.

When we asked him for an interview, he never once acted annoyed or bothered. Instead, he immediately said, “Sure, let’s do it.” That’s the side of Kyle many people never got to witness. He was passionate about racing, passionate about his family, and passionate about the racing community as a whole.

Moments like this remind us that life is fragile and tomorrow is never promised. Live in the moment. Chase the things that make you happy. Stop putting off the memories you want to make. Love people while you can.

Rest easy, Kyle. Sending love and prayers to everyone hurting today. 💔
